In undoubtedly, the shock result of last night's champions league game, little club BATE Borisov shocked Bayern Munich 3-1 to go top of Group F. BATE already beat Lille by the same score in their first match. Bayern started well in the first half and even hit the post via Kroos, but then BATE took the control of the match through goals from Pavlov, Rodionov and Bressan. Bayern could only get a late consolation through Ribery in the injury time. Ex-Arsenal player Alexander Hleb runs the engine room of BATE in the midfield and that seems to be paying off for the club. Cheers! Ram

This happens when the giants underestimate the minnows. I think that great players who don't concentrate become regular players and that happened with Bayern last night, especially in the second half. Bayern has played acceptable in the first half and should have scored at least 3 goals, but they failed to do so and they were punished by a team which has no media exposure, but which is capable of great results. I was very ashamed by this result, but Bayern deserved to be beaten, because they treated BATE Borisow without respect.I hope that this will be a great teaching for them and they will not repeat this mistake anymore.

For BATE it was a fantastic result. After two campaigns in which they could not get a single win, they have started brilliantly this season winning both their first two matches. Cheers! Ram

I think that from now on the other teams in the group will start to take them seriously and BATE will remain with this 6 points. But that is great for them and I have to admit that they did a great job till now.

I think for smaller clubs these are the headlines moments for which they long. It was a great moment for their fans and players. Cheers! Ram

A terrific result by Bate!It just shows the unpredictability of the Champions League. Everyone will be asking for the post mortem report on Bayern but I think this detracts from BATE's wonderful performance.

And this unpredictability is what we enjoy about the game. Cheers! Ram

hello, it was really shocking. i was shocked. how did it happen. i mean bayern munich are the runner up of the last champions league. they are such a good team with players full of energy and spirit. they lost 1-3 to bate borisov was really heart breaking. they were playing really well in the start but i don't what happened to them in the second half. they really need to work on the field and show some great performance in the rest of the tournament if they wanted to keep their impressive performance like last year. i really hope they reach at least the semi final stage. they have the potential.

Actually Bayern started well in the first half and eve hit the post. But then after BATE scored it was one way traffic. Almost as if Bayern were shell shocked and did not know how to respond. Cheers! Ram

I don't know whether it was a case of one bad day at the office. That term is really haunting us as in the Cricket World Cup that is ongoing India missed out on the semi-finals because they had one real bad day and despite winning 4 out 5 matches, they lost out on Net Run-Rate (something similar to goal difference) for the semi-finals . Cheers! Ram

I didn't see that coming and it was indeed a shock result. We had the surprise package, APOEL Nicosia for last year's tournament. This year could be the BATE's turn. It is always nice to see an unfanciful team make it to the latter stage of the tournament.

I would love to see clubs like BATE make the knockouts. It adds that much joy to the tournament. Cheers! Ram
