rjschultz68 I think Rafa has more power than we may think -he did sign Demba Ba and his debut was a great success with 2 goals. Man united will definitely lose Scholes and most probaly Giggs at the end of this season, so Lampard will be a great makeweight for the void...

Last week Brendan Rodgers was talking of a top four finish for Liverpool. Yesterday they were thumped 3-1 at home to Aston Villa. Did he speak too soon or is it just a minor blip?

rjschultz68 With the benefit of hindsight it does appear to have been a blip possibly casued by taking Villa too lightly.Villa have been poor since that game while Liverpool have thrived so it does seem to be a flash in the pan.

rjschultz68 It could well be that Chelsea took things for granted.Benitez had been pretty impressive at Chelsea in his last few games, but I think you are right -maybe he needs to chnage his teams mentality when playing against lesser sides.

rjschultz68 QPR obviously played very defensively because they were away to a superior team. While this was not pretty to watch it was still a very good performance by the underdogs.
