Have you ever suspected that someone is part of your group for a covert or alter

nate reason? Years ago, I watched on tv that there were people infultrating the Quaker Women's meetings. The government had a file on them. It was after 9-11 and the women had written to the President that they would like the USA to find a different way than war. So there was a file on them for about a year. The last Healing Circle that I went to, I got the feeling that this woman was a spy for a neighboring church or for the government. This woman spends 7 hours at a time in Bible study. Why would she join a group of multi-religious and pagans? We warned her that we were many religions. We tried to explain that she might not be comfortable there. The first time, when I went, she left early because she had things to do. I missed last time, but she was there and people said she sat and was very quiet. Some new people came and one said he followed traditional Celtic and another said she was Wiccan. I understand that our leader can not turn anyone away who wishes to be healed. But after the healing, when we talk, I wish this person would leave. Or our leader could have a healing circle for Christians, too. I thought most Christians who study the Bible that much had healers who did laying on of hands. This just doesn't feel right. I think she's a spy. Maybe I've been watching too many conspiracy theories, but this just doesn't feel and sound right.

I read what you had to say but when it came to her last time being there and her being quiet, I took it in a different way. Of course I've not been there at the meetings with you and can't say for sure how she behaves and how i'd interpret it then, but for the situation you laid before me, I have to say this : The last time she was at the meeting and you were absent, others said she was quiet. Perhaps she joined the healing circle instead of finding another, so that she could learn more about others religions. Perhaps she has found that she's more curious now, and confused more then ever. Her being quiet could be her thinking about what each person has said. Though I do understand how you feel, perhaps you are worried that she is a spy so to speak and looking to make the healing circle disband? If so then it is definitely very sneaky of her to be coming to the meetings. Though I have to say even a woman who goes to bible study quite often, could have questions about other religiosn and other ways of believing.

Maybe she is curious. Maybe she is confused. Maybe she was raised to believe one way and never presented with other ideas. Maybe this is interesting to her. I just am concerned. I know a friend who helped someone, was branded a witch by a local church and run out of town. I don't want anything to happen to my friends. Also what is with our government, infultrating the Quaker women? Thanks. I hope she's just one of the first paragraph that I wrote. At college we had people yelling, "You're going to he11" a lot as some of us walked down the street. That wasn't a pleasant experience either. I guess I just wish she had explained why she was staying. You know? I hope that she is seeking to understand. I really, really do. Thanks and take care.

I hope I'm worrying for nothing, but it just seems strange. Maybe she'll decide she has nothing in common with the rest of us and not come back. Or maybe she'll decide we have something that is missing in her life. Yes, we try to heal each other, talk, and have tea, not subversive at all.

I don't understand why anyone would want to infiltrate a meeting of women who are against war. I don't think anyone is ever truly for war, and those who are aren't looking at every little thing either. Is there no way for you little group to ask her, or find out in a nice way why she is truly there? After all if she is infiltrating in some way it is against your rights to convene peacefully. I think Convene peacefully is the words I am trying to say. Basically I find nothing wrong with your multi-religious group coming together for a healing circle and talk, and don't see where anyone should, if they are, trying to out you all or force one person because of their religion, to leave... if that makes sense?

I don't understand what reasons does she have to be a spy for ? Did the church send her to tell them about people who do this activity instead of following the christian rules ? I think she tries to learn the method of the healing circle to discover some interesting things she may like to know. Maybe she just wants to try to get healed from something. Hey, maybe she is not so sure about her own religion and she looks for other things to know and learn, but, she still needs to read from the bible...Maybe she looks for a spiritual experience. Some people don't really like their life. They are born into a way of life that they discover they don't like and they start to look for alternatives. Some people even have a dual life, being a sinner in a secret. (I mean , they secretly go out and hang out, doing things the religion forbids).

I'm not sure why a church would have reason to spy on us. If they thought they were loosing followers to us, they might want to discredit us somehow. You may be right, she may just be interested in what we do besides laying on of hands. Yes, many people are born into a life that says there is this way and later on they want to know or at least understand other ways. Maybe I'm worrying in for nothing. She seems like a nice person. I'm hoping I'm worrying for nothing. But sometimes people get run out of town for less.

What if she is? I wouldn't let her ruin my time. Maybe she is just a fanatic or a highly religious person. Maybe she is checking out the Bible story for an alternative to her own religious experience. You never know and being suspicious can cause some very negative energy.

If she is, then she could report back to her church and bad things could happen. My friend had a nutcase tell a church she was a Satanist. The church circulated hate mail. Her boyfriend's car got bombed. She was told to get out of town or else. My friend was all peace and love. She suspected nothing. Her neighbor, whose child she had healed, tried to warn her to get out of town before something happened, She felt that she was love and light, that she could overcome negative energy. They branded her and her boyfriend as evil. The government, they'll find out we're a little weird, but harmless. Just a fanatic, those are the ones that often become terrorists. Highly religious person, maybe, I hope so. I hope she is coming just to understand. I hope this all works out.

Yeah, the KKK, too, what a nighmare. Such a horrible thing to do to my friend, she heals a sick child that the medical profession was making worse and she helped a person by letting her use a phone when her car broke down. She's an artist. So she had weird stuff in her house. After she let the person use her phone, the person looked nervous and wanted to wait outside. The phone user told everyone at her church she was evil. The neighbor tried to warn her, said she was taking a risk and if she hadn't cured her child, she wouldn't even be there to tell her, it was dangerou for her to even talk to her. She still didn't get it until the car bomb and the fire department wouldn't do anything except make sure the neighbor's house didn't start of fire.

Hi writers And what if she isnt? I mean, I too went a couple of times to Mosques, even Churches and even Gurdwaras. I am only one Hindu and I did go to these places on special occasions (for the first time) when they would have fests and were open for all. As the first time, I never knew in depth how one behaves in these places or religion, I was quite shy, reserved and anyone could have easily felt that I am not one from their religion. And quite rightly so. But I wasnt spying. I was there with all my truth and with sincere wishes and desires to know more about these places. Maybe this is what this lady is trying to do... find out something beyond what she believes. She does seem to be a staunch Christian as you say she reads The Holy Bible for hours. So maybe she is trying to realize and find out the similarities or even the differences between Her and Your faiths! I would suggest someone made friends with this lady and tried finding out what her intentions were. I say making friends because I personally believe unless one makes friends the belief to what she is saying will not happen easily.

That's great that you've been to all those places. I went to visit many churches in my area, that was what was mostly what was available to me. I have friends who are Jews and they may invite me to their Synogogue (spelling?) one day. I had a friend who was run out of town by people who did not understand her religion. So I prefer to be cautious. By run out of town, I mean they circulated hate mail, bombed her boyfriend's car and told her to leave town or life would get worse. But you may be right. She may be just trying to understand. Maybe she has never had the opportunity to be part of any other group. I hope that is true. I'm very protective of my friends.

we had a news story recently in the uk about an undercover policeman who infiltrated a group, and actually went as far as getting one of the activists pregnant http://www.disinfo.com/2012/01/uk-undercover-police-had-children-with-activists-they-were-spying-on/ that was the only link i could find to the story, quickly. so if she is sitting there quietly not saying much then she isn't really doing her job of infiltrating, but that doesn't mean she isn't spying on you! another alternative is that she is actually embarassed by what she is doing, because some people can just discover they have psychic or healing powers, and it could be that the church she belongs to just doesn't do that sort of work, and she has discovered things about herself that she has maybe been taught are wrong, so she feels awkward. i obviously don't know though!

True, usually if you infiltrate (thanks for improving my spelling), you seek to fit in and she doesn't. So you have a good point. The undercover police in the UK gave new meanings to both undercover and infiltrate when he got an activist pregnant. That's an interesting perspective that you have. Maybe she is going against her church teachings by going there and yet she feels she must because she's being drawn to it or she has abilities and powers. I just worry because some groups have had very bad experiences with people running them out of town or being branded satanists or something. We heal with love and light. We're not into dark forces or anything negative. I hope she is searching and that she finds some answers that are positive and in keeping with love and light.
