It's really nice that you were still recognized by your high school teacher. Though, it may be for maybe two decades maybe, perhaps they recognized you because you were one of the most intelligent students they have. Me on the contrary , they really didn't recognize me anymore. They said i looked a lot different, that's because i was skinny and not so good looking yet then.

I am very glad that you have been recognized by your former 5th grade teacher. I also experienced that when I went home a year ago in my hometown.I was waiting a bus to ride when suddenly my eyes caught a standing man beside me. Of course I was overwhelmed when he recognized me and I think 4 to 5 years since the last time I saw him.He interrogated me and said he was very proud of me of what I am now because he thought he has a contribution also with it.Of course, I owed it from him though.

well if it would be 5 years on my case they would probably recognize me but since it has been 10 years and after three kids on my part i really did not expect them to know me lol.. teachers do really get proud of what we achieve

Hi jazel Two reasons and you pick which one goes - 1. Either you were a good student who was good in (maybe all or some) - study, sports, competitions like debates, drama etc Or 2. You were the one who would create too much of noise in the classroom and keep the teachers on their toes But to tell you something as a teacher myself, the teachers always remember a lot many students for so many reasons... and that is why they are teachers - A good teacher always treats the student as his or her own child and no parent ever forgets the face and name of the child! Right?

I remember right before I started high school, I went to my elementary school to drop off one of my little friends at school and decided I hadn't seen any of my old teachers since I graduated and decided to say hello. I ran into my my kindergarten teacher and I just smiled thinking she wouldn't remember me, but she did! I was so excited to be able to talk to her about all the things that have happened to me since I've been in her class and how much I've grown. You're right, it is the best feeling when you old teachers recognize you! :)

It is nice to have that sense of recognition. I always feel good when my teachers recognize me too. I haven't seen any in a long while. One I think was a librarian and I felt bad that I could not remember her name, she remembered mine.

It's nice to be recognized by someone, especially by the teachers who taught us years ago. I haven't been go back and visit my high school teachers for a few years. When we just graduate, we used to visit the teachers once a year. But when we started to work, we have less holiday, and we seldom go back to the school or visit the teachers anymore.

Aww that is really nice that you got to see your grade school teachers again and they remembered you. Im glad it made you happy. I do think its rude to point out that you got chubbier you are much older then then grade school of course your body is going to change pointing out you got chubbier was pretty rude even if she did say it nicely. I was a bad student in high school teachers will probably never forget me lol.

It is great that you were still recognised by your teachers, and it is actually quite a big compliment to you because it means that you haven't really changed since you left school and that has to be a good thing. I am no longer recognised by anybody from when I was at school apart from the people who I stayed in touch with, because I have changed a lot. I have lost over 115 pounds in weight and I have dyed my hair and wear completely different clothes now. It is good that I have changed, but it is sad that I can't have little chats with my teachers because the fact is that they just don't remember me anymore.

It's so heart-warming to be recognized by your teachers whom you haven't seen for quite some time. I rarely don't have a problem about this though. The way I look when I was in high school is still how I look today - give or take a couple of white hair and a few wrinkles here and there. Even my built is the same. Oh, plus the fact that I was somewhat a frequent visitor to the principal's office :)

You must have been one of the most trusted and intelligent in your class or else you are one of the "pasaway" (joking). Mostly, those that are always misbehaving in class and those that are intelligent and have many achievements are those remembered by their teachers. One of our teachers in grade school is our neighbor, and since me and my 3 other siblings studied in the same school, that teacher became one of our teachers. She can still remember my elder sister because she is always one of the cream of the crop and my other sister because she is part of the group that misbehaves a lot but is still good in class. She can't remember me unfortunately because I have always been quite and shy.

Well, I have finished elementary school, in the distant year 1986, therefore, we speak of twenty-six years ago! In elementary school, I had only two teachers and attending full-time, in fact, the class schedule was from 8.30 AM until 4.30 PM. During all these years, I must say that I very rarely saw my teachers of elementary schools, but on those few occasions have had opportunity to talk to them. Now it is a long time (I would say many years) that I have not encountered. I hope for them that the health and good fortune, is on their side!

Thst is so cool, I think you must have been a teacher's favorite :) My mom is also a teacher and she tells me that the students that they always remember the most are the smart ones and the unruly ones. Both the extremes.
