Making money by writing is hard work!

Hi mylotters! For the past few days, I'd been busy trying to finish my work before the dateline. I did mostly rewriting work and found some of the topics really challenging. I am not a 'fresh article' writer because I am not ready to spend a lot of my time on researching yet. Rewriting work does not involve so much researching, so I am more comfortable with this type of writing job. Whether the job is easy or difficult, it all depends on the topic your customers request. But I felt tired, my whole body ached and my brain just wanted to sleep! I could not move or go out so much because the nature of this work is just that; Sit, think, write and finish your job. Well, no pain no gain! So, same with any work. So, what do you think mylotters? What type of writing jobs that have less stress and are enjoyable to do?

Hi. So are you doing freelance job? Yeah it is really difficult to work for someone and finish writing job on time. It requires more hand and brain coordination. Also it is not good to play with your health. You can write at your own time at site likes Expertcolumn and Wikinut. You will get paid for number of views. You can enjoy your writing too. Cheers.

Yes, I am a freelancer. I like making a living by doing work that I enjoy doing. But I guess it is normal to face some tough times sometimes. I actually have been thinking about contributing articles to hubpages, triond and expertcolumn. I have read many good comments about these sites so I will make efforts to write fresh articles and sign up with some writing sites. Thanks for reminding me. Happy mylotting!

MICHA i know it's a hard job in doing such of kind that job but if you want there's a perfect solution to it in order for you to keep going. it would be easier for you if you use a software, for me i am using the best spinner. i bought it for $47 a year. hope this help

Hi Angel! I have tried using the best spinner but I don't like it. It works for some people but not for me. I rewrite faster without the spinner's help. Recently, I was requested to rewrite a Q and A webpage. You know, Qs and As are usually short, very specific and this page uses only the best words for explanation. So, when I rewrite the sentences, in order to pass copyscape, I have no choice but to make some sentences longer. Some words also cannot be replaced because the articles may sound 'funny' to the readers.

The Writer... - Well he looks, or rather looked, like one; in point of fact, this was crh a good few years ago now, posing.
I'm a writer too, although I've not set the world on fire as a writer, but I've written quite a lot of material, and received some modest praise. I'm also a song writer. But I love writing. It's something I've wanted to do since I was a teenager. Yes, it's hard to make money from writing: writing is competitive; like acting; music; many dream of success in these fields. Writing is glamorous. The internet has provided the most incredible opportunities for aspiring writers. I can remember back in the '90s, whenever I wrote it was on a noisy manual typewriter...I'd noisily bash out things few people would read (if I was lucky), working on corrections with sticky correction fluid. How things have changed for the better; and hundreds have read my work online, which I can post at will for the world to see. However, the competition is needless to say still very much there. I think stress exists when there are deadlines; or when a writer is for some reason determined to finish a complex piece in a short period of time: I've done this before, and it's stressed me out like crazy. Then of course if a writer is being paid, he or she often has little choice but to finish work before a deadline. I've been in that situation, but I'm not now. Right now, I'm pacing myself in terms of my writing. For example, I've come here to My Lot to create at leisure; being here is relaxing and creative at the same time. There's no stress, but I feel I'm doing something creatively productive. I wouldn't want to spend all my time on writing projects that are stressful. Best to alternate such projects with less stressful ones. But then of course that's not always possible to do for a writer. But it's certainly best for the stress levels.

Hi Carl! You have expressed yourself very well. Writing is your passion and you have the talent, skill, and right attitude to become an award winning writer. I am still lacking in these, still have a long way to go, lots to learn but I hope someday I too can become an excellent writer like you. I was really stressed a few days ago, all because of some articles that I find difficult to do. So, now I am in mylot pouring out all my pain...and the best thing is, I feel good, happy, consoled after reading all the experiences of mylot's writers and even better, I get invaluable tips and advices from experienced writers. Thanks and Happy mylotting Carl!

your job is to rewrite articles? do you earn enough money for a living? anyway i guess it must be a bit hard. because to rewrite an article you need to correct a lot of things. and maybe your client wont be happy with the final job. but i think its easier than to write a new one. to write an article you need to reasearch a lot so it will look good to the client.

No, rewriting here is to present the content in a different style of writing but the story line remains intact. It's not to correct mistakes. Sometimes, it is almost like writing new articles, especially if the original article is not very clear. The good thing about rewriting is, I do almost no research unless the buyer makes specific request.

Writing to make money is hard work, especially if you're like me and you write reviews. I have to look up a lot of things, especially when I review anime or a movie or a TV show. It takes a lot of time for me to write and I put a lot of effort into my work, but it does pay off when I earn extra money.

That's interesting! You remind me of the movie critics. Are you something like that? Or do you only say the good things about the movie and TV show? Where can I see your work? Happy mylotting!

i work as a freelance web content writer and i understand what you mean about challenging articles... mostly i'm a fresh article writer, and yes, it takes a lot of time. @_@ maybe you could try proofreading? it pays a little less but it gives the brain some time to rest and not engage in writing too much. ;)

The key thing about writing is not to force it. The best way to write is carry a small notebook with you. Write down potential topics as they appear. This will help you to write. Use your experience (this may help).

In the last 10 months , I didn't published any article online. Furthermore , the amount of time which needed to research for writing an informative article take , hours and hours . This is only my part of story . BEST OF LUCK

Hi micha! Yes I agree to that. You have to do a lot of thinking before you could complete an article. I am not a writer by profession because I am not very good at it aside from the fact that I don't have enough time to do it. I also have written some blogs for the purpose of promoting my sites but I actually not earning from it. I also have completed some tasks on rewriting an article. As of now I spent most of my free time with myLot and I really enjoy it here. To sum it up, even if this type of work requires hard work, I'm sure it is also a rewarding job. Have a nice day!

Writing and thinking really is a tiring works though it gives a lot of advantages to us.It is advantageous in the sense that we could be more learned in this kind of hobby or activity. It is a comfort zone also for us if we have problems, mylot in particular. It is something to do also with correction in our grammar composition and somehow it may improve. I think you should walk and stand for a while for sitting for a long time is not advisable also. It is risk in different kind of sickness.Good day
