Jacqueline MacInnes Wood(Steffy on "The Bold and the Beautiful") was a guest star in the pilot of the new CW series "Arrow." She played the sister of playboy Oliver Queen's girlfriend who he was cheating on with said sister on the yacht that sank and stranded him on the island for five years. She had some sexy scenes before the yacht sank in a storm and she was killed. He, of course, returns five years later a changed man out to right the wrongs of his father and others in his home city using a list of bad guys that his father gave him. His father had asked him to right the wrongs and then killed the only other survivor of the sinking and himself so Oliver would have a better chance of surviving with the meager supplies they had in the lifeboat they were in. When Oliver returns he starts going after the bad guys as the green hooded archer while resuming his playboy image as a cover and is pursued by a police detective who is the father of the character that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood played. Whether Wood will make more appearances is hard to tell. She could appear in flash backs or there could be a twist and have her having survived, which doesn't seem likely, but have been kept in China or somewhere since the yacht, or at least the island Oliver drifted to, was in the China sea.

I am definitely going to watch Arrow when it airs in the UK on the 22nd of october. The trailers I have seen have made me quite excited about the show.Your synopsis of the pilot has made me even more exited to watch the show.I haven't seen the comics that the show is based off so I will be going into it with a completely open mind.Which is probably an advantage as there is no risk of me comparing it negatively to something I have seen before.

I have taped this show, and haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I want to know, how do they make it so you root for him? Maybe it's me being a girl. But the fact that he cheated on Katie Cassidy's character with her SISTER! It's a real big jack*ss thing to me. How do they set it up when he runs back into Katie Cassidy's character?

Five years of extreme hardship and fighting to survive has changed him completely. But on his return he assumes his old playboy persona as a disguise to help cover is activities as Arrow in trying right the wrongs in his city that his father asked him to do before he killed himself so Oliver would have a better chance of surviving when they were in the life raft with limited supplies. When he first runs in to Katie's character she is upset with him but as much over her sister dying as his cheating. She later is acting like she wants to forgive him but he tells her to stay away because he would only hurt her again to which she says that he has changed, he is now honest. Later she is shown walking with his best friend and they are talking about them having gotten together; it is unclear if this occurred before he was lost at sea or while he was gone. So there is also the possibility that she was also cheating.

I kind of hope she was! If it was even, then I'm good with it. I'll definitely watch the pilot then.

Watch the pilot, as this is worth the watch. Its easy to forgive somebody when they have changed so drastically like he has now. I think the show is well cast and I'm hooked to this one.

I watched Arrow online at the CW Web site. The ratings were great and the show aired twice during the week. It did have a great total viewers for the first airing and did have a good airing on Friday at 8:00 pm. Sure hope the viewer total is amazing this coming week.
