Of course I does it whenever I was cheated by any idiots. This is not a revenge tactics but to console myself. I would not able to sleep at night if any one cheats me for my innocence. I am terribly upset and disappointed over this. So, I PRAY to GOD to punish them because I did not do any mistake. I have never thought of doing harm to others. So, it has become my habit to pray for their punishment. Do you pray to GOD as me?

No as that is the bad thing to do. God is a god of justice. If you ask him what to do, it's like telling what He needs to do. Our ways can never be His ways. That is why there are things in this world only Him can understand no matter how odd it is. My mom used to be like that, she even lit candles in front of our house out of desperation. Now she understands that what we need to ask God is a forgiving heart because that is what's really hard to do. Whatever you're going through or whatever pain and hurt people has inflicted to you, it shall all come to pass. It may not be too soon but don't make it so hard on you after all these people might not also remember as well making you the only one suffering from sleepless nights. I hope there's a bear hug emoticon here... so here's one for you. Hughug!

I would be a hypocrite if I won't say that I haven't said anything bad about a person out of intense anger but as I said I never ask God to go punish those people who have hurt me. I only vent out the hurt and pain. And same way one way or another we may have hurt also somebody else's feelings without knowing it at all. Just leave everything on His hands. Let vengeance be His and that's all I can say now.

Punishing a wrong person is an excellent duty of GOD. You are absolutely mistaken, If wrong doers exist in this world then an innocent like me can suffer a lot. So, I AM correct on my part but people like you have not understood the concept

mhypie is right when she said God is a God of Justice. He is a just God. He is not a condemning God. He is a forgiving God. God does not directly punishes a bad person , for He is a God of many chances. He knew that people are not perfect , so prone to sin , mistake and errors that is why he always gives second , third and many chances.

God does not like revenge and so I doubt if your prayers will be heard. May be you can do that yourself without praying to God? Even that we are not supposed to do. You can be careful in the future perhps not to give anyone the opportunity to cheat you.

No, God should punish the culprits who cheat others. If God not, who can do that. I don't want to punish them as it is the duty of GOD. It is not at all wrong

God is all forgiving. So I am sure God will not answer this type of prayer. If you were cheated by others ask God to help you overcome this problems and for protection. Instead of asking God to punish them ask God for guidance and to do in God's way. I think this is a better way. I know it is very difficult to forgive them especially when the hurt is very deep.

No.. I don't pray to god for punishing someone. Because i know god is watching everything and that person will definitely get punished on god's court. But i never leave the person who cheats me because if i leave him, then i will be responsible for the other person who will be get cheated. So it is necessary to teach the cheater a lesson. So that no one gets cheated.

yes, God watches everything. But if he punishes the person it would set a good example for others to meet the needs of justice.

I must admit I have had bad thoughts about someone before. I do that every now and then, but I don't remember praying to God to punish them . I usually get guilty of having thoughts like that alone that I only pray God will forgive me. In fact I want Him to pinish me instead.

There is no need to fell guilty of having thoughts like that. It is an idiotic feature of keeping everything in our mind.

Manasha, I would be lying if I said such anger does not arise in me. But I have developed a way around it. I find me my current intense desire...and I pit it against my revengeful desire. I ask me which I would want more, and make them mutuall exclusive wishes. So invariably the right one wins. As to god, he has never listened to either good ones, or bad ones. At least the right number of applications are lodged in his post box to get the attention to the things I want often enough. :)

Sometimes I will pray a vengeance prayer, but truly it is not a prayer but a curse. Doesn't Jesus Himself say to pray for your enemies and do good to those who curse you? After I am done ranting, I repent and if I am still mad and hurt, I will ask God to simply deal with them because I can't, and try very hard to leave it with Him.

wow, you are such a great person. It is normal and so human to feel upset for something like on your case. Though it is so rare to see that somebody would do things like you. Instead of doing some revenge or anything bad to person who did bad to you, or to vent it to somebody else, you keep it for yourself, and you pray to God for what they had done to you. It doesn't matter even if you pray for them to be punished. What matters is you don't do anything bad to them. Though I must ask you, IF the person, or people who had cheated on you really Got punished .....and it was really bad, how would you feel, Happy? I do pray to God as well, more to give me strength and direction for those who do bad things to me. I don't wish to hurt them, I meant I don't pray to punish them, because when I wanted to do it, I did it myself. lol have a nice day and happy mylotting. :D

No I don't instead I pray for their forgiveness... I pray to God that they learn to amend their bad habits so no more will be hurt. God knows what's best for them, and surely He'll find ways to teach them their lesson. It may takes time. Trust in the Lord, He knows best!

I think you did well on it for yourself. You can console yourself by this. but be frank with you, it will never help you any more. As you know, God is busy. Everyday, so many people pray to GOD. I think you should do something which really help you.

I think it's right for you to do this. The way you did could help you to console yourself. But to be frank with you, this way can never really help you. As you know, God is busy. In the world, so many people are praying to the God. I think he won't spend time helping you. So I figure that you made a vain attempt to do it. And maybe you should do other useful things instead of making dreams.

No, it is wrong to pray to God to punish someone that has wronged you. You should pray to God and ask him to forgive them and you should also forgive them. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord. The people that do you wrong will be punished by God in due time. If what they did to me was something I could take to the police I would do that if not, I would ask God to forgive them and give me the strength to continue on. It sounds like you're wanting God to do your dirty work and that's wrong.

Your religion says that all wrongdoers (with those "idiots" included) will be punished by going to hell. I'm sorry but it seems that no one is to punish them before.

I think a better perspective here would be to ask for justice and even pray for the cheater that he/she will not bring retributions to his/her family members who are innocent. Pray that I will recover from the substantial loss I have incurred and that I will be able to protect others especially my family members from such a scam. In cheating, the cheated has an equal responsibility to the situation too. Often than not, they are first of all greedy and foolish making themselves vulnerable and gullible. I don't suppose there's no background to the saying that there are no free lunches in this world. So, we should always be careful with our privacy and belongings. Offers that are too goo to be true will always be too good to be true. Impossible returns of investment will always be impossible. I don't blame the cheated when they are being misinformed but they have to shoulder the responsibility for their final decision in going through with it and got cheated at the end of the day. It is a fact that a certain proportion of your property will be lost but I am certain it is not completely lost when you are able bodied and capable to earn it back. Also, the invaluable lesson called experience being gained here.

No, if I am hurt or feet cheated, I don't pray for the culprit's punishment. God sees us wherever we are, whenever we are or whatever we do. It's up to Him to do what is right for us. We don't even know that we are contributing to what the others did to us too. God is the supreme judge. He knows what He is doing.

Hi Manasha, I have never prayed to God for revenge on others. for I think that would back fire on me..When others mistreat me or do me wrong, what I do pray for is that God gives me strength to get beyond what they did, because I do believe that god do not like ugly...

I think that punishment and revenge are two different things. I think that it is okay to pray that a person gets what is coming to them when they do something bad to you. It is written, "...Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the LORD." Prayer works.

I am a roman catholic baptized to be christian and pray for Jesus. I am praying seldom, but officially believed that there is a God. So bible taught us to be a good people and and be a good role model for everyone....but excuse me for everyone, my parents just decided for my religion but not me... I have my own beliefs and own way of thinking on any circumstances. I will come to the point now.... YES, yes, yes and big yes i pray for punishment to the people who have hurt me, praying isn't a good thing though... Good or bad prayers, it's still a prayer. I will not pretend to be a perfect christian, well in fact i am not... excuse me for all religious believers...

Hello Manasha ! God might not listen to you because you are commanding Him , seems not fair. He is a God of power therefore he know all things , before those thoughts formed in our mind , it is already in the mind of God. God knows best , so no need to command him , in your soft whisper he listens to you. You believe in Karma ? Yes , karma will do his part , you don 't worry that much because all bad that were done will comeback to him. Please don't make it as habit of praying for their punishment but pray that they will change and be very thankful.
