Over the years on Mylot I have used the tips posted by others to make cooking a lot easier. One of the tips was to plan a week of meals in advance and think that has helped me so much that I want others to know how much it can save on time and money, as no extras trips to the store, so not spending on things I really don't need. I use my crock pot when I want to answer more posts on Mylot, as cooking this way really saves a lot of time. It also helps me with at least 1 more meal, as there is always leftovers. I do at least 1 day of no meat meals, as meat is so high now. Also I have a garden and members have already heard about the huge number of tomatoes that I have been picking this year. What tip (s) do you think helps you the most?

So im moving into a house probably in about three weeks and i cant wait to start a garden and grow my own vegetables to use. It will be so much fun and i can use them all in my own house and im so excited. So i enjoy to cook alot and its easy to do so. I Also do a spaghetti dinner through the week and the leftover spaghetti sauce and meat goes in the freezer in tub aware and i can re use in the next weeks dinner put the noodles i can use the next day for another pasta dinner maybe with chicken or steak or something. So there is so many options to do and so many ways to not have to spend alot on food. It will be a blast not having my parents to always worrying about and think about when cooking dinner so im excited.

I don`t like to plan ahead much, but I have in my pantry and fridge enough so that I don`t ever have to run to the store for a single item. I go to the super once a week and if I forget something I will do without. It`s easy for me to do that as I always make a couple of sauces that I have in the freezer just in case. Both can be eaten with pasta. And I can make some rice and something to have with it in maybe 20 minutes. I eat red meat about once a week, but I eat the best. I use much more chicken and turkey and have a legume day and 2 veggie days at leasy in the week. I just planted my tomatoes as it`s Spring here. When I pick them, I hope to have enough to freeze 2 or 3 different tomato sauces to last me for the rest of the yeear.

Since i have my full time job, i don't cook the meals at home. Although i also cook on my days off. However, we don't plan ahead of time of what to cook. Usually, we would buy meats , fish , chicken and veggies and put them on the fridge. Thus, my mother-in-law would cook meals according to what we viand we would like to eat.
