the new concept from Jokowi-Ahok to bus driver

is it cool when you hear that Jokowi-Ahok try to change policy to bus driver..
they want to make new concept about bus driver..
Jokowi-Ahok believes that the bus drivier must get the good treatment (based on their work systems)..
the new systems is like a pilot..so the bus driver must take a rest after "landing" 4 times (it is same with pilot systems)..no need to make "setoran" because it can increase the possibility the driver can drive careless their car
Ahok said that maybe driver of bus will be paid between 3,500,000 IDR - 5,000,000/month..Ahok believes with the new systems, it can reduce the careless driver and can reduce too the traffic accident..
Ahok said too will re-arrange the public transportation especially to combine or unite the small bus and transjakarta
it`s cool if the concept like that..
but is it enough? it`s still the question for me..

Public transportation is one of the biggest homeworks for Jokowi and Ahok to fix. Traffic jam in Jakarta becomes worse each year, there are so many factors that caused the traffic.
Too many vehicles in Jakarta. People prefer using their own vehicles instead of using public transportation because it is hard to find comfortable public transportation in Jakarta. Old bus, careless and ignorance drivers, no timetable, and not forget about the lack of safety are the main factors why people do not like using public transportation.
I lived in Jakarta few years back, the bus are old, the drivers drive the bus carelessly when they stop to wait for passengers they usually blockade half of the road and they dont care it might caused traffic. They speeding in order to get more money for their target. So many beggars, pickpockets and criminals in disguise in the bus so we need to be careful, no timetable or schedulle, no safety and we heard so many abuses in public transportation.
Transjakarta has better concept and more comfortable because it has Air conditioner and timetable but it doesnt reach every places in Jakarta. It is only serve the main street so people still prefer to bring their own vehicle than using public transportation.
So if Jokowi and Ahok has new concept for better transportation system in Jakarta, I hope it will work out and reduce the traffic jam in Jakarta. Hopefully it will attract more people to use public transportation instead of using their own vehicle.

It's a start. Somebody needs to improve the public bus transportation system in Jakarta. It's crucial to make the system safe and convenient; so public will not be hesitant to take the bus.
