I am listening to the Rolling Stone's newest song "Doom and Gloom" and I must say they are still rocking after all these years. Mick and the boys still sound fabulous! It has that great Stones sound to it, music and vocal-wise. I have been a fan of theirs since the age of 9, they have so much talent despite all the negative past they have had with drugs and such. I think they are so cool, and maybe someday somehow I still can see them in concert without needing a walker. Me or them, haha. Have you heard the song "Doom and Gloom" yet and what do you think about it? Are you a Stones fan? I just found me a cool T-shirt the other week and just for $1. with the Stones lips logo sequined on it at a garage sale and I treasure it! It's beautiful with no stains or tears in it.

I am so glad I was born when I was. The 50's were great and bee bop and such was sort of cute kind of music. I remember barrowing Stones albums(and others) so I could listen to my favorites. The Rolling Stones put out a rare album back in the 60's and the name was something like Her Majesty's ?? Request It's been so long. I loved it! And Jumpin' Jack Flash is still my all time favorite RS tune. And, if you haven't seen the movie by the same name it is a fun one with Whippy Goldberg in it. They have been around forever! lol

Looking on Youtube of the bands of the 50's is quite a hoot. I was into The WHo and Blue Cult and afew of those too. I think The Stones were on Ed SUllivan and the dancing shows. They were pretty out there even at my age. I was in my teens in the 60's so I was probably more into them.

I think the 50's were great but it's the 60's when the Stones first came out. I was just a wee one at the time, but even at age 9 I started to get into them. Not sure if it was the connection of Mick's and my bdays or what but I just loved them and Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, etc. I have seen Whoopi in Jumpin Jack Flash, it was very good!

I am a fan of the Rolling Stones, but only of their early recordings. They had a very unique style of music and Mick Jagger had a rare talent for the presentation of his songs. However, way back when they released the album Beggar's Banquet they seemed to change their style and I have not liked any of their music from that time onwards.

Yes they did seem to change some of their singing style somewhat over the years I agree. I still manage to like some of their songs though. i thought this one was made with alot of good stuff in it. I was expecting something cheesy and off, actually. They still have "it" as far as I'm concerned.

I'm a fan but not a huge fan. I won a contest and got to meet them, plus get front-row tickets to their Forty Licks concert tour in 2003. It was really cool meeting them in person. They were all very nice except for Mick who seemed to just want the 'Meet and Greet' to be over so he could leave.
I haven't heard the song but I don't listen to the radio much at all these days. We live in the mountains and it's hard to get anything on the radio that actually sounds good.
Below is a photo that was taken of me with them. I'm on the far right, the short one. Ron Wood has his hand on my shoulder. I loved it!

Wow was he really that bad, thats awful. He was the main person of the group and he should have been more friendly. Probably thought he was all that and then some so he didn't have to meet or greet anyone. Us Leos can sometimes have that effect on people though, it is in our sign. I don't particular like to meet and greet anyone but if I was in a band I would make a point to try to be friendlier. I subscribe to their fan page and also Keith's fan page on FB and twice they have posted a video of the song so have heard it via on there. I will try to view the photo, thanks for uploading it!

A die hard rock n roller here, lol! "Satisfaction" that's the best Rolling Stones music that really did me going in the 70's, lol. Mick Jaggers moves were extremely full of energy and rhythm, and i could really feel him, I mean the groove and the rhythm, and it's fantastic.

Good to see there are still many out there like you! I am a die hard rock and roller too but have yet to see many concerts. Yes, the moves of Jagger, there's even been a song about him with that title currently. Heehee. I like the whole style of the Stones as far as their music. Their life style not so much, thoroughly different than my own.
