Each tiny acorn has the potential of birthing an infinite forest. But does each acorn get to express that potential? No..it doesn't. Most of them dry out for lack of fertile soil and water. Some grow up as weak seedlings for want of adequate sunshine. Some get uprooted by strong winds, some got eaten by animals while some are cut down by humans before reaching their full height. Some lucky ones grow up to be mighty oaks, but only a handful get to produce great forests. Same is true for us humans as well..Each one of us subconsciously knows that there is something more in us, but we cant really put our finger on it.We want to explore all my options, but we feel stuck, we want to understand the real purpose of our life but this knowledge eludes us..Acorns have an inherent disadvantage as they can't find and re-allocate the right growth conditions for themselves, they depend solely on nature's mercy for their growth. Human beings face the same handicap in their early years but luckily not forever.Once we become an adult we can't really blame our environment any more..as a responsible adult the first responsibility we must shoulder is that of our own growth. We can create or re-create our own environment and can achieve our full potential.

I think alot of the acorns are eaten by animals. They do depend alot on nature's mercy which isn't always very great. Humans have mothers and families to nurture and help them to grow. So I think they have a better guide toward their own potential. Plants and people are very different.

Yes people and plants are very different but something you didn't get perhaps what i wanted to say literary..I was talking about our decisions after entering into adulthood, after gaining maturity of mind. What we are today is totally because of us. There are so many examples of fraud or criminals or unsuccessful people who belong to very good families and parents and got good education and environment in their childhood. There are also so many examples of great people who have risen from unfavorable conditions.Even all kids from one family are not same. I hope i could make it clear this time. Regards.

What a fascinating realization and i agree with you in all of what you have said. People usually do not take risk of realizing their dreams and grow, they fear not failure, they fear success itself. They fear that if they grow into their full potential and then become successful, people will start thinking that he is a selfish human not helping poor people and such. That's what hinders us in achieving our dreams and our full potential.
Just like the acorn, humans have great potential in everything. But an acorn is not even enough to compare itself to human beings because humans can create their own environment and achieve their full potential. In order to break free from the cliche which is that successful or rich people are evil, and such what-nots, i believe people ought to realize that they are meant for greater things. It is best to know that we have only one life, but it is enough to make a difference. People seldom realize it, so they act like they have all the time in the world being 'poor'. Well, have a great day, and thanks for sharing your views. Good day.
