Looks like we're going to the midnight opening showing of the Hobbit. We got tickets through my daughter's work for half price. Not bad. Are you planning to see the midnight showing of the Hobbit or which movie did you go see when it first opened?

When is it opening for you? We have a while to wait...we probably won't be going to the midnight show anyway--my kids are still a little young for that. But I am sure we will be going to see it on opening weekend. Have fun and let us know what you think of it.

I did not know that. It's gonna be a trilogy? Interesting. Does that mean there's gonna be a few years in between movies. Arrgghhh!

Not until December. We're just getting all excited about it. Maybe too much. We're such Tolkien geeks in our family. But I will definitely post a review ... somewhere.

Oh, ok--that's when we get to see it too. We are excited here as well. I am still curious to see how they can stretch this book into THREE movies, but we'll just have to wait and see! Hope you enjoy it!

That's sad. I don't like it when the sequel is a dud.

I don't know of any midnight showing we went to in the past. My BFF and I went to see the full series of Ape movies once years ago. We would take turns going and checking on our kids and watched them all. As far as midnight ones they usually have some one that teens would like on Friday and Saturday and the cheeper theater here. That's about it.

Actually I'm talking about when a new movie opens on opening day. They will usually show it at midnight, since that's the official opening date. Poeple here in Los Angeles line up to see every new block buster. Is it just a LA thing? Movies don't open at the midnight hour anywhere else? Interesting.

Ah. Yeah, I don't go too often. And as it stands now, we're only going to the opening of the Hobbit because we get tickets through my daughter's work. We do have a $2 theatre down the street from where she lives. Haven't been yet, but would like to check it out. Here's to the cheap seats.

I know that and I was just saying we don't have that. We don't go to the up beat theaters, we go to the cheeper ones and they don't have those. I was just telling you that.

It is a long time to sit, but the theatre seats are so comfortable these days.

Hello my friend gtargirl Ji, Well, At this age of ours, what heart specilists say about sittings . Have a look at below :- Qn: Sometimes, due to the hectic schedule we are not able to exercise. So, does walking while doing daily chores at home or climbing the stairs in the house, work as a substitute for exercise? Ans : Certainly. Avoid sitting continuously for more than half an hour and even the act of getting out of the chair and going to another chair and sitting helps a lot. May God bless You and have a great time

It's in my plans to go to the midnight showing of The Hobbit. We don't have our tickets yet, but we'll probably be getting them ASAP in November. And we're all going to dress up! I've been to the midnight showings of Eclipse (), The Last Airbender (), and The Hunger Games (). I was planning on going to the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn Part II, but one of my friends that I'm going with actually found out there are bunches of theaters having 10:00PM showings before the midnight showings, so we're probably going to go to one of those! I'm officially a fan of midnight showings... especially when I get to be out with all the hardcore people in costume.

I've noticed that there were a few discussions about midnight opening of movies. It's a pity that we don't have them where I'm from. (or maybe I'm just not aware of it) That would be interesting. During my childhood we had movies that were shown past midnight they're not being done anymore. Hope the movie's nice and would live up to its trilogy sequels

It's fun once in a while, but I wouldn't do it all the time. Hopefully the movie is good enough to keep me awake. The Hobbit should be good.
