Its hard to explain how I feel

Some days I feel that life is just one big upset, other days do not feel that great either, could it be that I am one of these people that hate the cold and dark nights, I think that there is a name for it and it is sad. I just get bored of things so easily and people seem to get on my nerves more now than they ever have, I would not say that I was depressed, just fed up of life in general I think. Is it just me that feels this way or are there other people.

I feel like you do a lot, more now than ever. I think mine is depression but I am not sure. I just know I don't feel close to family anymore and I don't like doing a lot of the things I use to. A lot of things get on my nerves that never use to bother me. Maybe it is the season.

I feel the same stll and I feel that I can not change nothing in my life to make me feel any better. There is nothing that I can find that relieves the feeling of being low and what with no money as well that do not help.I feel that things will not improve when it comes to money as there is all bills going up and the same amount of money come in. I see a lot less people now than I did and I feel that the people that I do see come to see me when either they want something, or they are bored as well, so I am feeling used as well.

You must live up to your chosen name 'Joy' and decide to enjoy life more. Life in general is good in your country, think how you would feel if you lived in the USA now with a 'Frankenstorm' approaching you and your loved ones! This discussion coincides with the clocks going back and the nights coming on earlier, that may not be a coincidence. I gather it is pretty cold there too. this is going to be the situation all the winter and some of the Spring, so I suggest you find small ways of making the dark nights better. How about lighting a few candles, ones with a pleasant smell to cheer you up. Invite some friends round for snacks by candlelight. If things bore you quickly then it would help if you could find something new very quickly too to replace the old interests. Life would get exciting then, you will meet some new people and it would take some time before they got on your nerves. Evening classes are pretty good for cheering yourself up and making some short term interesting friends. I thoroughly recommend them. Stop suggesting to yourself that you are fed up, change your hairstyle, get some new clothes, even if it is just a small item like earrings or a scarf. I know you can do it. Oh yes, one more thing you could do in the coming month is get yourself to a Fireworks Party and enjoy some laughing kids around you. That's a lot of suggestions I truly hope that one at least will work for you.

I am still feeling really low and down and I have tried to find things to do that I enjoy, but still feel down. I think the reason why I am feeling really down at the moment is due to the fact that I have no money to even go any where, neither do my friends. What with all the bills going up I do not think that I will have money any time in the future either.Lets hope that I find something that I enjoy doing soon, as I feel that is half the trouble as most things cost money to do.

I think that with the shorter days and it getting colder and kind of miserable it is normal for some to become depressed. It is sad. I have lived with it all my life whether miserable or sunny out. Severe depression is not fun. And getting fed up with life occasionally is normal I think. TIme to regroup, set some goals and try to find something positive to enjoy about it all.

It surely doesn't help when it is so cold and gloomy outside. But, as the seasons change so can your mood. Things are apt to get better given time. If you feel you just can't win then maybe you need to go at it from a different direction.

I have tried to find things that I can be positive about, but so far I feel the same as I did for the last few months. I feel that no matter what I do I can not win, also the fact that I have no money and feel that I really dont have a life as such do not help and all topped off with it being so cold and dull, dark out side.

I guess it happens to all of us. There are really days when we feel real bored. There are happy and sad moments. It's part of life. I guess we should just go with the flow and be contented with what we have. Probably we'll just think positively and forget about negative vibes that would surely ruin our day. And the most important one joystick, we should seek the Help of our God Almighty. He is the source of everything. So nothing is impossible with Him! God bless!

I have tried to think of all the good things that have gone on in my life, just to try to feel a bit happier and even now I feel so fed up it is awful. I can not see my life being any different in a few years time, but I really want it to improve. It feels like there is nothing to do and with it being cold nowhere to go and with hardly no money well not great either.

There are good days and there are bad days, probably some sort of a mood swing affecting your affect, thought process or just simply some sort of psychological behavior caused by some triggers or stressors. Getting consultation for therapy would surely help, but keeping a positive attitude would surely do just great to keep a better hold of yourself.

I have not got a lot of positive things at the moment, perhaps its just how cold and miserable it is that is not helping. I think it all boils down to me having a lot less money than I need and no matter how hard I try I seem to cut down on things yet still do not have enough money for food etc.

Just be positive in life and that's the whole attitude that we should have. While sometimes we feel upset but what makes me feel touched is that i still have someone caring me and that makes me so lucky. So that's basicly life and we should learn to accept what happened.

I can not help but think that since I put this post up my feelings towards life have not changed one bit. It feels that no matter what I do I will always be here in the same position and that things are not going to get any better.

It kind of sounds like you have S.A.D., seasonal affective disorder. My grandmother gets that every time winter like weather rolls around. It's not like traditional depression. Doctors recommend light therapy, but those kind of lights seem to be very expensive. Some people recommend tanning because of the light you'll be exposed to. It's a real problem for millions of people. You might want to look it up if you haven't already and see if it fits how you feel.

You may be right there, I have never really thought of it like that.I can not afford to pay money towards things like lights, so I will have to sit it out and hope for the best. I feel that it is a real strain when it comes to each day as each day seems to really drag and even months on from when I first started this discussion. Not having money do not help, neither do not being able to go any where or see the friends and people that I use to see, but with no money I do not feel that I will see many people any more any way.

hi joystick you just g ave the classic symptoms of depression so I think you should see your primary care doctor and get some help for depression as it can be helped you know. i do not feel that way and I am here in a tiresome retirement center where I never wanted to be. but life is still great I a n 85 and want to live more years too. I love my lotting and have tons of friends here I hope you can get some help as depression sucks so they tell me.Also look around you now do not get mad at me but are you broke? Are you out of a job? do you have a home? are you homeless? you have nobody to love you ro be loved/ if no then why do you feel so down. I mean there are people who have not got a job and have a family to feed? people who are homeless do you get m y point? count your blessings as it might make you feel better. go volunteer to help others as it will make you feel good inside.

I am thinking of going to see a dr as I feel that this feeling is getting a lot worse and I am begining to dread each and every day. I wish that I could my lot a lot more, but at the moment I can not even get to any interests, as there is a glitch, so I thought that I would respond to all the discussions that I had started, as that way I would feel less a lone. I have hardly no money and there is nothing that I can doi about that, also there seems to be less people that I see now, then I did say a year or less ago and have lost all contact with them.

hi, i know that my life is not that perfect because i am single for so long and in my career i am not yet regular in my tenure, and i am only happy because of my friends, close relatives and of course to my family,so when my family is there i could say that i am complete and happy.

I do not really get to see my friends any more as they are doing all the things that they want to do, while I am sitting at home with noone to talk to, as I can not afford to go out.I have never felt so a lone before and it feels that noone really cares for me either any more.Mind you when some of my friends use to come to see me or when we went out, I felt like I was being used as I use to pay for the drinks as well as the transport, plus they had noone else at the time to go out with or see.

I've been through that kind of situation. There are times I don't understand I feel and usually its a mixed feelings. I think it is because of the things I am dealing with which I think I am taking it seriously. Recently, I had problems. I can't help but think of it.

I can not think why I feel this way and even after 4 months you would think that things would start to feel or be better, but it is not. I think that there are a few things that are really begining to stress me out and with those thing I can not do any thing about it.

I feel that my life is just a drag, as there is nothing to do and I have no money to do all the things that I would like to do. With it being darker here of an evening there are less people about and the friends that I use to see I no longer see, I just feel like things have not changed in the last four months, so it will always be like this now.

Well while you might not feel depressed per say it might help to talk to someone if these feelings about the world make you so unhappy all the time. Especially if you think they're keeping you from enjoying life to the fullest. Therapists and counselors tend to work with people help them change their point of view and way of thinking as it pertains to life situations. Also need be they can offer you medications as an option but it doesn't sound like your feelings are that extreme.

I just feel that my life has not changed and neither has my feelings, like life is dragging on, like you say I should be enjoying some of my life. I feel that I am like this due to not getting to see the friends that I use to see, as well as not having money to do things what I would like to do. I do not know what to do to snap out of this, perhaps I will go and see my dr, as some days are a lot worse than they use to be.

I know what it is like to go through a "bad phase". It seems never-ending and bad things stack one on top of the other until you are so pissed off that everything seems to be the worst thing. But it's just that, a phase. I believe that when things go wrong is because we're not doing what we are meant to do. Call it Karma or Fate, but I see it in a more logical way: if we are doing something that we know is not working for us, keeping on doing it is the definition of crazy. Bad things come, but it's up to you to do the best you can with what you've got

I feel that every thing is going wrong and that no matter what I do things are getting worse. There are things in my life that I can not change as these are things that have happened and can not turn the clock back, but with no money and I can not see that changing, as well as nothing to look forward to things will always be the same. I come on here to try to take my mind off things and to pass the time away and it is not really helping me tonight either.
