Early Morning Travel

Tomorrow is holiday here in our country and it will be a long weekends. Many will go home to their provinces since it was also All Saint's Day wherein most families will visit their relatives lied in cemetery. Instead of going home today after works, we decided to travel early morning tomorrow to avoid the traffic caused by huge number of vehicles travelling the provincial roads. We always do this early morning travel if we are going home during holiday seasons like Christmas and Holy week. By this time, there are only few numbers of vehicles. Furthermore, it is relaxing to travel at this hours because it is quite colder because the sun is not yet up. How about you mylotters, at what time do you usually travel when going home to your provinces during holidays?

Yes, it is really better to travel early morning especially during holidays because there are only few vehicles travelling on the road. Furthermore, the weather or the temperature is really good unlike daytime that the temperature is really hot.

Especially nowadays too hot in my place so traveling early morning helps a lot. It gives us good mood when we travel away from traffic jam. Traffic is annoying... Have a great day

In the country where you from, it is really good to travel early morning during summer season. Just like what you said, travelling early morning during winter is not that good since it is really too cold.

I wish you a very happy and enjoyable All Saint's Day. It is an excellent idea of yours to travel in the early morning in order to avoid most of the traffic. Yes, the weather will be cooler so it could be a very relaxing trip indeed. In the summer holidays in my home country the traffic to Cornwall is very busy. I decided to get up earlier than normal and go super early. I got on the M5 motorway and it didn't have much traffic on it. I saw some lorries on it, some cars and some caravans. The other roads weren't too busy. We arrived at the Eden Project after 3 hours of driving. We had a lovely time there until 2 in the afternoon. Then we continued our drive to where we were going to stay. We had lots of traffic in the town near the Eden Project. We arrived at the holiday camp to stay in a bungalow feeling very happy. A week later we left early and drove all the way without having any stopovers. Again traffic was light to medium. The M5 motorway was very slow and busy. So I turned off and went along the A38 road.

Just like our, we reached home as early as 8am and we only travelled the whole route for only 3 1/2 hours unlike during daytime, we will be travelling this route at around 5 hours because of the heavy traffic that we will experience due to huge numbers of vehicles especially a day before the holiday.

We love to travel early in the morning. I think it's the best time to do it since like you said, the roads aren't that full of vehicles, it's not hot, it's refreshing. But what we love most is having breakfast on the road. For me, that's really the fun part when traveling by car in the early hours. Besides, since I'm the one driving, I need to stop and rest even for a few minutes.

You are right, like you, I am also the one that drives, but it seems that I haven't felt any tiredness travelling continuously for 5 hours. hehehe. I agree with you that one of the best part of travelling in the morning is having breakfast on the road. Like us, we will be having on the go foods like bread and cup noodles and will going to eat that along the way.

I guess its more friendly to travel early in the morning rather than at night were the road are dark and is more prone to accidents. We just have to remember to be always aware of our things and be alert during travel. Have a great holiday..

Yes, we must be alaert all the times especially when you are the one driving the vehicle. Remember that all of your passenger's safety rely on you so when you feel uncomfortable (being sleepy), park the vehicle and take a short nap. I hope your passengers will really understand. That is really disadvantage of travelling in the dark. There are some vehicles especially motorcycles that has no light or any thing that you can see them immediately.

You are right, the weather at this time is still good and not that hot. Good for those travelling with kids since hot weather sometimes makes them irritated all throughout travel.

Traveling early in the morning by tomorrow is a great idea than going home after work. But some of my colleagues will go home to their provinces later after work. Well when we are going to the province we used to travel early in the morning too since it was not traffic and the weather is not hot.

During holidays the road is also very crowded here, as you I want to avoid the busy time but there's no bus at such an early time to my hometown.

Right, we really tried to avoid the rush. Although it is hard for me as driving that early, I will really try to get sleep earlier tonight. That is one of the problem for like you who commutes when going home. I just hope that this time there are buses deployed at that time since they knew that many will travel at that early.

We also prefer traveling very early in the morning, dawn if we can. Aside from being almost traffic-free, it is also not that warm yet . Nothing really makes a traffic worse than a searing hot weather in the middle of the day. The oly thing that puts me ff to driving that early is that it's still a bit dark. As a new driver, I avoid to drive in the dark for now.

For us drivers, this is a disadvantage because there might some that will eventually cross the streets that we might not seen because it is still dark. Just keep on careful driving and be aware all the time. Sometimes, even you got aircon on your vehicle it does not work properly when the sun is totally up.

Yeah, we used to travel either early in the morning before the sun rise or late in the afternoon. It is hard to travel when the sun is up especially I had my son to travel with.

Hi! It is true many people are going to their provinces tomorrow. Some traveled earlier to avoid traffic. However, my family and I usually travel that day (nov.1). We experienced traffic for an hour in North Expressway before. I hope tomorrow will be a different one.

Good for me that I haven't experience being caught in the traffic for an hour in the NLEx since we live here in Bulacan wherein there are other alternate route going home.

We usually travel early in the morning to prevent crowded streets. It's hard to get up early in the morning, but it's worth in the end. As for me, the earlier i wake up and get some food, the happier I am. Happy Mylotting!

yes, by this time, there are only few vechiles running the streets. In my experience, I used to travel 5 hours goign home to our province during daytime but when I tried early morning, I only took it for about 3 hours. Another disadvantage is that you said it is really hard to wake up early but like what you said, it is really worthy since you can have enough rest upon reaching your destination.
