Early tonight a group of some adults accompanied by kids came into our house asking for candies. This is the first time that a Trick or Treat had been celebrated by kids in our place. It’s good that I was asked by one of the youth organizers yesterday if they could go to our home so, I was ready with packs of candies which I purchased just this afternoon. When I brought out the candies however, excitement started as no one is listening to the organizers that they line up so that everyone could be given equally. Most of the children surrounded me and when I distributed candies to them and requested them to give way to those who were not given yet they still stayed so when I see the rest who have no chance of getting nearer particularly the small ones I decided to throw the remaining candies to the ones who can’t come near that they be able to get some too. Some of the accompanying parents whose children were no match for the alertness of other kids joined in gathering candies in behalf of their kids. When all the candies had been gathered the children were laughing and cheering and some are comparing their baskets contents. It is real fun watching how the children enjoyed and are truly happy with such simple acquisitions and activity which to them may be a sort of a game. If only one could be a child again and experience that quality feeling of joy and contentment...

LOL thanks for sharing When i play with my grandkids i become a kid for them, they talk, play cut jokes as if i am of their age. I always keep chocolates and candies for them and for the kids of the neighbors who come to play

Yes one really acquires a different mood when around with children. My first granddaughter is only five months old but she already reacts and laugh if you play with her and we can't seem to get enough of her every-time they visit us. We also have a neighbor whose little daughter is very talkative and it really is fun talking with her and answering her endless questions.

That means you are a typical happy person who looks at life positively most of the time.

You made me smile, trick or treat is not really that big in my place. But just awhile ago by youngest brother in law asked his mom during dinner if he could go with his friend for trick or treat. My mom in law said yes as long as he would give some candies to my one year old daughter. Brother in law came after 30 minutes without candies, and when we asked if he got some he said no... probably no one gives. I'm happy for you. it's really good to be a kid sometimes. :))

it's just seeing them very pleased and happy with simple things like candies that don't cost much. I have a 5 months old grand daughter (my first) and i said to my son that by next year we should make her join trick or treat of course accompanied by them for her to enjoy childhood which will only last for a few years
