Ever since the last craft sale I have been getting orders for cards and a few Christmas items. I will not be at the holiday show because I am going to my sisters to spend the weekend with them and my cousins....In a way I am glad as I have several orders to fill already! Are you getting orders for Christmas already? I am happy to have the orders but they keep coming in and I am not sure how many more I can take. I don't want to turn them down but I only have so much time to work on crafts! How about you. Are you striving for orders for Christmas. Do you run out of time to do your crafts?

That is great! Try to meet as many orders as you can. It sounds like you are likely to have repeat customers there.
I do not sell crafts, so I am not facing a holiday crunch. I am,however, facing a time crunch on making a gift for my boyfriend's birthday, which is rapidly approaching.

I want to make a copy of an old family photo, decorate a box or frame and affix the image. I have a vision of how I want it to look; there are a few ways I can go about this.

Wow, good for you jill!!!!!! How do you get these people? Are they just friends that order from you? I'm just curious because you're not going to the holiday show so did they find you at another show?
That is just plain awesome to me! I haven't done anything for the holidays, but now that I'm thinking about it, I do have some miniature candles left from last year that I never put up on Ebay to sell. Maybe I'll do that this year and the majority have old victorian images of Santa Claus.

The last three orders have come from people that also bought at the last craft sale..one ordered 25 then liked five of them so much she ordered two more of each so another ten cards....I also donate alot to benefits and have my email address on the back so they can email me....I guess when you do order some and have them at home...well it's nice not to go out and have to buy them. And that is the point I am thinking is bringing them back....the convience..

Excellent Jill....you are quite the businesswoman! And you are absolutely right...the convenience is what it's all about. Great idea! You are only one of the few people I know who do so well at the craft fairs!

Well, I have been thinking about listing some items on Etsy.com, and even with my busy schedule with the hyperbaric treatments going on still try and do a show Dec. 1st. I did the event last yr. and did Ok. So far Sales are really slow, so I do need a way to get something more going again. But I can remember one time many yrs. ago being so busy I had to put a Stop to orders, and that is a Good thing when it happens?

One of the things I do and I know it sounds crazy but I leave on of my cards in restrooms....yup....people's curiosity gets the best of them and they pick them up! LOL...so if I stop at a station I leave one in each stall! Gotta try everything right?

My daughter is starting to make latch hooks again for the holidays. She earned a good amount of money last year and hopes to expand her projects to other seasons.

I need all the orders I can get, times seem to be getting harder and more higher in prices every year. I try to make things to sell to help with family needs and for gifts also. mostly right now jewelry, earrings bracelets , etc. I love to do all kinds of crafts. I am always trying to make time for crafts especcially if it sells. Christmas is to quick it seems just sneaks upon us... I really need to sell more items. without so much costing to ship and loseing in the long run with cost of supplies.. but helping with needs of others I really at this time have not made much but enjoy making my craftty jewelry and helping others with what I can do.. striving for orders for Christmas and hoping to help put a smile on another face ..God Bless and have a Happy Holiday..

Hi Jil! I've been very busy making my own crafts so I'm not in here much. But I always get around to reading yours sooner or later. I've learned a lot from your experience at crafts.
I've been creating inventory according to the season we're in for the upcoming year. I hope I never get caught without inventory in the hopes I'm as successful as you next year! I learned this from you.
I'm hoping I've developed a schedule and can discipline myself not to waste precious time. But I can only hope I land up in a similar situation! Congratulations on your success!

That's great!
I really wish I were crafty and could earn extra income that way.
One of my co-workers is very creative and does that sort of stuff.
Personally, aside from lack of creativity, I'm also not very patient and don't think I'd be able to do anything crafty!
