I love to write...

I have loved writing since I was a child. I have written poetry from the time I was in the first grade on. I love it!
I have saved most of my poems/writings over the years and it's funny to sit back and read each of them. It's like looking at my life on paper! I know exactly what was going on in my life based on those writings!
Some were mood based and I would be angry or excited, while others were emotional, a death in the family, a break up, a divorce.
I have tried to blog and write journals over my adult years but I seem to always 'run out of time'. Isn't that a great excuse? That's the one thing I should always make time for, writing, because it's a wonderful way to express yourself, let off steam, vent, and create.
How about you? Do you write? Do you enjoy it? And do you encourage your children to do it?

I like to write poems too ever since I was a child. I have a special notebook for all my poems. Too bad, I cannot find my notebooks, but I am sure they are just somewhere in the house. I like re-reading my old poems when I can and see how my writing style has evolved. I write less poetry now though. I guess I am too busy and not very inspired. I hope to be inspired to write again soon. One of my things to do in life is to enter my poems in a contest and win a prize. :)

There is one particular contest here that I like to join. The deadline is April of every year and contestants have to submit a collection of 8 to 15 poems. I have been thinking of a central theme since early this year. Hopefully I will find one soon because I plan to join next year. Thanks for the good luck!

I write some creatively and I have done some freelance writing. I have written poetry. I do not pursue it as much as I could. My daughter would like to write young teen fiction and has taken some courses and has written some stories as well as a short novel. She also writes devotions and Bible studies. My son could be a good writer too, but he has other creative interests.

Writing is a skill that is often unnoticed and many fail to improve it unfortunately. One can write so many different things, express himself and communicate with writing. I love writing, and I realized it a few years back when I started to earn money thanks to writing.

The best gift God has given to me is the gift of writing. Had i not be able to write , i don't know where i am now , maybe somewhere , maybe in heaven. Writing alleviates all the pain that i have. Through it , i can express my angst , i can shout all my demands , i can scream all my fears and i can cry without tears . Actually , it is even my bestfriend , anytime , anywhere i can tell anything , no holds barred, it doesn't complain . Writing heals my wounds , making me breath deeper and makes me see other side of life. At times , i am so down nothing i will do then but to write and write , after writing , i felt refresh and relax.

That's wonderful! And it's obvious you are very good with words!
How true when you say writing can be your best friend. There have been times I wanted to 'scream' because things were going so horribly wrong in my life. I felt there was no where to turn, and then there's the pen and paper, and voila, before I know it, I've written several pages!!!
