Liverpool poor run of results continue to pile up with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle at Anfield. The result leaves Liverpool at the 12th position while it lifts Newcastle above Arsenal into the 6th position after 10 games in the season so far. Newcastle opened the scoring with a fantastic move by Ben Arfa creating the goal for Cabaye to score. Liverpool then stepped up the attack and Luis Suarez continued his fantastic run scoring in the second half to level the scores. But despite getting a man advantage after Collocini was sent off, Liverpool could not deliver the killer blow as Krul was fantastic in the goal and ensured a critical point for Newcastle.
Cheers!

Thanks. What is wrong with Liverpool? they don't have the killer instinct?

Or... they should get rid of Suarez and get two players that can play together.

Thanks for Krul.. He made 5 saves and Liverpool was perform better in the match. Unfortunately for Liverpool, they have the ability to rank higher but it seems that it's very hard for them to win the game! And they hit the frame in the last minute again. They had so many frames in the last season. Ben Arfa is so incredible, I don't know why he is in the margin position in the French national team!

I had a hunch it would be a draw (and even predicted the 1-1 score-see my earlier post 'Liverpool v Newcastle).A bit lucky to get the exact score but I could not understand why Liverpool were such short-priced favourites at the bookmakers.Statistically, Newcastle have fared very poorly at Liverpool but, then again, the Reds have not been so poor as they are now for quite some time. Cabaye's goal was a stunner!
