Liverpool poor run of results continue to pile up with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle at Anfield. The result leaves Liverpool at the 12th position while it lifts Newcastle above Arsenal into the 6th position after 10 games in the season so far. Newcastle opened the scoring with a fantastic move by Ben Arfa creating the goal for Cabaye to score. Liverpool then stepped up the attack and Luis Suarez continued his fantastic run scoring in the second half to level the scores. But despite getting a man advantage after Collocini was sent off, Liverpool could not deliver the killer blow as Krul was fantastic in the goal and ensured a critical point for Newcastle. Cheers! Ram

I think they are missing a person who can finish off the moves. Suarez is good, but he needs a partner who will be more prolific in finishing off the moves. Cheers! Ram

Or... they should get rid of Suarez and get two players that can play together.

Seem that, even Anfield still become a spooky place for other teams. Too bad that the gosts (Liverpool) aren't spooky anymore. Seem that they didn't learn well how to became a scarry gost last halloween.

Yes, the fear of Anfield is no longer there for the teams coming there. They are playing more freely there and are becoming more and more confident that they can get something out of the game. Cheers! Ram

Anfield still become one of the scarry stadium. With the crowded fans who always singing or yelling consistenly from the beginning to the end of the match.

Thanks for Krul.. He made 5 saves and Liverpool was perform better in the match. Unfortunately for Liverpool, they have the ability to rank higher but it seems that it's very hard for them to win the game! And they hit the frame in the last minute again. They had so many frames in the last season. Ben Arfa is so incredible, I don't know why he is in the margin position in the French national team!

I think they miss an out and out 20 goal a year goal poacher. Suarez is good forward but he needs to work in tandem with another player. For Uruguay he works well in tandem with Diego Forlan. Cheers! Ram

Krul was fantastic in the match. Overall he stopped over 7 goal bound shots during the match. Cheers! Ram

I had a hunch it would be a draw (and even predicted the 1-1 score-see my earlier post 'Liverpool v Newcastle).A bit lucky to get the exact score but I could not understand why Liverpool were such short-priced favourites at the bookmakers.Statistically, Newcastle have fared very poorly at Liverpool but, then again, the Reds have not been so poor as they are now for quite some time. Cabaye's goal was a stunner!

I think over the last year and this year, Liverpool has become a draw specialists especially at Anfield. At one time this was a fortress, but now teams come here with the feeling that they can get something from the game. Cheers! Ram
