I know this is not the politics thread, but I have a question and I don't want it to turn into a political debate on the other thread !! If Romney is elected and reverts students back to "ask your parents" for money for college, will you be affected? I sure will as I am on student loans and pell grant. I am 47 years old, one of my parents died in 1995 and the other one is very well up in age and I doubt she has a few extra thousand dollars laying around waiting for me to borrow it. There has got to be a better plan. It seems its all or nothing at all. There has to be a middle ground.

I think loans for studies is very good. In my country We never had such thing. I was on scholarship and that is how my parents did not spend. But there are people who can't afford and they do not have scholarship as well so there should be an alternative for them and loan is the best. I think students will strive for the best because it is a loan they are studying on and they have will have to pay back when they can earn after studying. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead

There need to be loans for students just as more scholarship for the deserving. There are more students taking their studies seriously and striving hard to graduate under the loans program than those who study because their parents can afford it.
