Man United in another famous comeback

November 7, 2012 4:38pm CST
Man United put Braga to the sword tonight to help Fergie celebrate 26 years in charge.I thought they were dead and buried as they trailed 1-0 until the 80th minute when Van Persie obliged, followed by Rooney and then Hernandez in injury time. RVP had been on the bench until the 64th minute. How much did he contribute to this latest comeback? Had Fergie taken Braga too lightly?

Uh~ They are so many fans who love him. He's a great player and I love him too. I wish he could get more opportunity than Robin Van Persie, but that's not possible. If you stop giving Robin Van Persie enough chances, he would be angry with his teammates. And that's why Huntelaar is the substitute in the Holland team although he scored much more goals than Robin Van Persie as the substitute.

Well, I think Man Utd have to thank Beto, who is the goalkeeper of Braga. He made a very horrible mistake and then let Robin Van Persie to score. And later, Man Utd scored another 2 and won the game with 3 points. In the whole match, it seems that Braga played better in most of the times. But I only watched part of this match so I am not so sure.

I think this was another case of the fighting spirit of Man United. Braga was leading from the early goal till the 70th minute. Then the lights failed and after they came back, there was a different Man United on the pitch. Under the rain, Van Persie caught the Braga goalkeeper off his position to level the goals. Then Rooney and Hernandez scored goals to seal the match. Cheers! Ram

Yes, the fighting spirit is essential. In the 2002 World Cup the German National team is not as strong as today but they had the fighting spirit. And finally they finished as the No.2! Nowadays the German National Team is good at techniques but they lose their fighting spirit so they always fail in the important moment. For Man Utd, the famous match in 1999/2000 season in which Solskjaer scored the goal in the last minute, they showed incredible fighting spirit. And Solskjaer is so great because he could keep calm in important moments and score for the team.

Yes, the German team in the last two major tournaments, the Euros and the World Cup seem to have lost on the confidence. Though they have been the favorites they seem to have the semi-final block where they fall at that hurdle. Cheers! Ram

i like the mentality of MU player.. they are so patient until minute 80 for making the same level thanks to beautiful goals of Robin Van Persie he proved to MU fans, that he is worthed with the price.. And Sir Alex Ferguson is really happy with his forward quality not only Robin Van Persie, Rooney and Chicarito make scores too.. it`s good reaction

I think many have lost count how many times have Man Utd staged a comeback despite going behind. The thing about them is that they can be playing poorly and yet came out with a victory. This is the hallmark of a champion.

Yes, they are famous for the comeback...just ask Bayern Munich fans! I think RVP has a lot to do with this particular reversal of fortune -he is surely a talismanic player!
