While initiating a discussion on Mylot, which is a discussion forum as discussed earlier, we need to be very careful. We are supposed to follow the guide lines laid out by the administrator of the site. Violating the guidelines will definitely be not tolerated and the discussions or for that matter the response also will be deleted. I am trying to discuss about the type of discussions which may be deleted on this site in short in this discussion. From my experience the following type of discussions have the chances of getting deleted on this discussion forum. 1. Any plagiarized discussion or response. Any post which is plagiarized is sure to be deleted. 2. The discussions which are duplicate. That means if the discussion posted is already posted earlier then such discussions are likely to be deleted. So I feel, before posting your discussion better to search with the help of search engine if the discussion is already posted on the site or not. 3. Any posting with rude or abusive languages are surely deleted. Please maintain the decency and decorum of the site and always try to use polite language on the forum while participating. 4. Discussions pertaining to achieving something on site, like discussing about your 100th post or 1000th post will not be entertained. The post must be informative one and must be useful to the members. 5. Poll type discussions will also be deleted on this site. The discussions which can be answered in one word or in yes or no are typical poll type one. Example – What do you like most Coffee or Tea? The answer can be given in one word to such discussions so these types of discussions are not allowed. 6. Tricky questions in the form of discussions just to attract the participation of members will be deleted. For example let us start counting one two three, I am starting the game…One, now it is your turn! Such discussions have no purpose so these are deleted, 7. Designs or patterns created on Work document will not be entertained as these are just occupying the space but not helpful to the members in nay way. 8. Discussions which are meant to promote a business are strictly prohibited on this forum. They are sure to be deleted and any link of promoting any thing is also not permitted. 9. Discussions which reveal one’s identity and the discussions which seek some ones identity are not permitted on this site. For example, the discussions seeking some ones phone number or address or discussions with mobile numbers and addressing them will be deleted. 10. The discussions about the earnings which may create a negative image of this forum are also not encouraged. Administrator can give us further details about this point if needed. These are the types of discussions I know they are not permitted on Mylot. I will be happy to know from the members about any other type of discussions which can be added to this list. Could you kindly leave your valuable opinion about this discussion and oblige?

I had a discussion deleted when I first came back here. It was about earnings so I guess it must have violated rules somewhere but it wasn't deliberate and I won't post any more now that I'm aware.

Number 3 is tricky because what one person finds rude may not be rude to another. I could easily post something with innocent intentions and a follower should get offended and my post would probably get deleted if the moderator feels the same way as the follower. So it's basically comes down to if the moderator is sensitive or not right? I've had some issues here where I feel like my freedom of expression has been restricted based off one person's feelings and not the majority.

Thanks a lot dear Sammy! This is just an attempt to remind the fellow friends on this sites who often complain about the deletion of their postings. Though every thing is clearly mentioned in FAQ section and Guidelines still some things are not clearly mentioned there and with the experience I least and I have tried to add these here in my discussion. Yes following the guidelines and rules of the site and then enjoying the popularity s like wining a game by following all the rules! Thanks a lot dear Sammy for your kind participation! I sincerely appreciate it! All the best!

These are written clearly on the FAQ's but the thing is- most newbies neglect to read the guidelines before posting a topic. There are certain rules that are not written on the guidelines and some are not stated clearly as well and ... even veterans had the chance of posting topic that violate guidelines. I don't mind responding to topics that violate guidelines only to tell the topic starter that it is violating rules and guidelines- and to help the starter not to do the same thing and ask them to read the guidelines before posting another topic to avoid deletion. What I don't like from other members is- when they cuss others due to misunderstanding.

You are very right dear Jaiho, all these things are mentioned in the Guidelines and FAQ section but unfortunately newbies they don't want to go through these sections. This is my attempt to make them realize that this is an important task they should complete before actually participating on the site! Yes, there are some rules which are not clear and senior members are also may get confused with them. But I think the rules and guide lines imply only one thing that is, they ask us to play the game fairly without using any cheating methods and by following the decorum of the forum. Anything which goes against my consciousness, I feel that is equivalent to violating the rule. For example I see some discussions with poor English, but i never try to discourage such discussions as I understand that we have got many members on this site whose native language is not English and they may find it difficult to write perfect English. And that is what I found in the guide lines too. So in nut shell one should participate on this site with clean heart, good intention and positive attitude to make this site a happy place to participate! I appreciate your efforts and I also do some times the same thing though I now that the discussion is going to be deleted just to inform the member about it! I agree some time people may misunderstand us ,but in due course of time they realize their mistake and they mend themselves! So please don't feel anything bad about their behavior! Let us just do what ever we can do to keep this site a clean and loving one! Thanks a lot for your response dear Jaiho! Happy Mylotting!

oh how many interesting things for newcomers here. Yet I think that any friend when he was here registrial should have read these rules. tovya is great country to expose them as the discussion so people will remember the many valuable and important and will be wrong sometimes it's nice to be reminded of our terms and conditions of use yet the busy lives we forget some things so I thank you that with this discussion, I remembered some of the things I had forgotten. good day!

You are very right dear Nezavisima! The idea of initiating this discussion is the same. We often forget many rules and regulations and start taking the site for granted and start doing the mistakes. So it is equally important to new members or old members to know and remember the guidelines and to follow them strictly so that the discussion and responses won't get deleted. Thanks a lot for participating dear friend1 I sincerely appreciate it!

Wow! I never thought that the rules should be implicated as a discussion. If I were the person, beforehand the person should know the policy before joining any organizations or business to begin with. Have a great day!

Hello Dear Shavakat I understand it is not a normal procedure to discuss about rules and regulation of any site as a discussion. But since many a times the members complain about the deletion of their discussions and responses, I thought to come out with this topic of discussion. I agree with you that one should first get well versed with the rules and regulations and also try to follow the guide lines before actually participating on it. You have explained it in simple and effective manner by quoting the example of organization or business. But unfortunately newbies are hardly bothered about these things, at times even some old members are also have no idea about this and because of which their discussions and responses are getting deleted. I think if I post these things in the form of discussion the chances of reading these guide lines may get increased! Thanks a lot for participation dear friend! I sincerely appreciate it! Thanks!
