Watching TV shows online, a comparison

I have watched some TV shows online on the three major broadcast networks and The CW. Of those four CBS has the worst quality and the most commercials and in addition doesn't have full episodes for some popular shows like Person of Interest and Two Broke Girls. ABC and NBC seem to be similar in number of commercials but NBC seems to have slightly better quality; of course NBC has far fewer shows that are worth watching with Revolution and Parenthood seeming to be the only two. The CW has several shows that are really good with Nikita, Heart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast and Arrow. I haven't checked to see if all of them are available online; I do know Beauty and the Beast is and Nikita probably is since it was last year. I'm guessing that Heart of Dixie and Arrow are also available online. The number of commercials for the CW shows seems to be similar and quality is perhaps between ABC and NBC.

If catching up on TV Online is your thing,You could try Hulu and cokeandpopcorn.com..CNP has a good range of shows..I've yet to watch an ep of Broke girls, but it's on there...I've watched Bones, most of Grimm, and all of Fringe on there so far..and no commercials..

I watch Arrow online so can answer the question for this show. Based on the numbers a lot of people have joined me watching the show online. The 8:00 pm shows are bad for me because I'm usually working when they start and I don't like to watch part of a show. I'm watching Beauty and the Beast online, as it airs when Person of Interest airs tonight. We tape Heart of Dixie and I'm behind a week, so maybe next week I'll find time to watch 2 episodes.

I had a hard time seeing a show on nbc.com. But that was several years ago so maybe it has changed since then. I've only recently watched shows from abc.com. Now that I have a DVR player I'm able to catch most shows that way or live. I'm pleased with the quality of abc.com, but they show the same commercials SO often. I get them stuck in my head. Seriously, I've gotten one song from a Disneyworld commercial totally memorized. Incidentally, speaking of ABC, did you hear Brooke Burke-Charvet has cancer. It's thyroid and very treatable, but still sad. She's so young.

Yes, I heard about Brooke. She is one of my favorite celebrities. There is a video on Youtube of her talking about it. She also has a website, mommy something but I can't remember the exact name but a search on her would probably give, and there is probably a link to the video there. She mentions that it will leave her with a large scar on her neck. I can related to that since I have a scare in about the same spot from vertebra fusion surgery; my is not that noticeable anymore however. She seems somewhat worried about the scar which is understandable in her business but like mine maybe it won't be so bad after some time has passed.

I know I may sound weird, but I think when you see a scar like that, certainly not disfiguring, it makes the person more attractive. It's like you know they had to be tough to get through it.

I concur that CBS seems to have the most commercials. It's FOX that gets on my nerves the most though...since they post shows EIGHT days after the original airing (may not be true for all shows, but has been for the ones I've wanted to see!), it basically makes it impossible for you to catch up on an episode you've missed before the next new episode airs on TV. You pretty much have to adjust to FOX's online schedule and never watch it on TV if you want to use the web site.

I haven't tried with FOX since I think the only FOX I currently watch is Bones and I'm able to watch it when it airs.

I sometimes watch TV shows via online web browsing. because some international TV shows that i am hooked to have delayed episodes in my local TV provider, so it leaves me no choice but to watch it via internet. I love the fact that some TV shows posted online are uncut versions. because some TV shows that are aired in my locality are cutted because of country's policy.

Hi Stealthy,After I signed the lease and before we moved in my landlord sent me an email saying that he wasn't going to connect the cable and if we wanted to watch tv then we need to do it on my old computer!I told him that was not possible.First I do writing and research other things to make money and my daughter has to sometimes do homework on here.Plus sometimes we watch different shows at the same time and tv online isn't great. Most of the show's that I watch are on CBS,except on Monday night ABC and during the 8:00 show I flip back and forth between ABC and CBS.Monday night's I enjoy,"Dancing With The Stars" then "Castle".Then on Tuesday nights I switch back and forth watching,"Dancing With The Stars: The Results" and CBS to watch "NCIS". On Wednesday night's,my favorite show is "Criminal Minds".I haven't watched this season yet,but in fifteen minutes I will turn on CBS and watch,"The Mentalist" and "Person of Interest".

when i started to seat on the couch in our sala facing the television i always got to put it on only two channels. national geographic and discovery. i found this stations to be informative. specially when it features about air crashes and the technology that a man gotten to in this field. being fascinated in such areas like aviation advances such us in its power plant and the systems that fly them in much safer way is just amazing. i love it indeed!
