Just Gobbly Goop? Another Way of Saying it

I am becoming a prepper.. at least so far as stocking up some water, a heat source and some food.. But ideally, I wish I had a remote place me and mine could go to, if things keep progressing the way the Book of Revelation says it will. Was hoping that could be delayed, but world government is coming because that's what many want, regardless of how dangerous, and I really don't think they (for instance the left in the U.S.) are going to back down or try to get along. I hoped for this for a short moment after all the prayers many were praying for the recent U.S. election and also for the nation. But from what I'm seeing and hearing, I don't think it's very probable. I just hope things don't progress so quickly they take us by surprise. I used to think it would likely occur in the days of my grand kids. (I feel there will be 45 critical days, and the last 10 of them life threatening. I get this from years of monastic type prayer and study and Daniel 12:11 and 12, which says:
"There will be one thousand two hundred ninety days from the time that the daily sacrifices are stopped, until someone sets up the “Horrible Thing” that causes destruction. How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!" (The Bible translator's exclamation point.) Note: the Amplified Bible calls this horrible thing, 666.
Here's another way of saying it --- "There will be three and one half years" (using Hebrew months of 30 days) "between the time the daily sacrifice" (prayers, etc at the Wailing Wall) "are stopped"/ taken away / removed "and the abomination which desolates" (666, Rev 13:18) "is set up. Happy the one who makes it to 45 days later."
A Cross Reference, or at least I view it as one - Matthew 24:1,2 - "Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple, saying 'see all these!?' And Jesus said to them, “Do you see all these things?" (ALL these buildings and walls of the Temple complex.) "Assuredly, I say to you, not-one-stone shall-be-left here, one upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
and, Revelation 2:10 - "....you will have tribulation ten days..."
Does this make any sense to you or is it just gobbly goop? Have you heard about "preppers"?

frankly i try very hard not to think or ponder on these "end of the world" type things as it keeps me awake nights and i get very little sleep already.
my family might last out but i doubt i could that long without my meds.
besides, there has been end of time predictions since the begining of time. @dragon54u (31633)

Essentially, I was raised as a prepper! Dad taught us to hunt, fish, camp with the bare essentials and clean and cook our catch. We were taught how to not get lost in strange surroundings. We grew up knowing we should always have at least a few weeks' worth of food put away along with water and basic medical supplies. I live like that to this day. I know the government is not going to rescue me and that I can do a better job of taking care of myself than they can.
I'm not sure when the end is coming, the Bible tells us we won't know. Like you state, there are signs but there have been so many that people interpreted at harbingers of the end. I'm prepared, physically and spiritually.

Prepping is an excellent idea. There are plenty of reasons to stock a few days or weeks worth of food, water and medical supplies. There are many websites that teach how to make the emergency survival kits of items and foods that would be needed in a crises situation. In thinking about the end of times as in Revelation and Daniel, I tend to think that we'd need to be able to get food by trapping, fishing or gathering because it would be difficult to store enough food and supplies to last for a lengthy period of time such as 3 and 1/2 years. However, there is wisdom in preparing for such things as natural disasters, shortages or terrorist attacks.

[b]I never have the funds to prepare. I do have Communion--the Church calls it "the Sacrifice"--but for a while at least, I will have to do without it ("...the sacrifices are stopped.").
I have seen these days coming all my life. Pray. Pray longer & harder & more deeply than you have ever prayed before. For yourself, & all others, that you & I & they won't succumb to the coming temptations.
It's not going to be easy...but then neither was being crucified. The First Sacrifice.
Love in Christ,

I am not far from what I call monastic prayer.. Or I wasn't when my kids were going to school and I had my days for it.. but now I have grand kids I'm watching days.. Do you always look to criticize? Don't forget, "God is love" and "the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience.." and some fruit of the flesh/lower nature is "party factions, division" etc..
