I have to make long distance phone cards very often to people within my own country and overseas on business as well as personal matters. That get very costly each month. So, I have to resort to using phone cards for all long distance calls these days. Helps a lot, very economical, cutting the monthly costs. Do you use phone cards ? Are phone cards very popular in your country too ?

Communication here in our country is not that very costly here in our country. In fact, communication is already added as one of the necessities in our life here in Philippines. Cellular phones are very common with common people and I think almost all of the residents here already possesses cellular phones and we usually use the electronic loads.

Here in mexico phone cards are very popular. They are 50% off the price if you made calls from your home phone. With mexico being close to usa, many call usa everyweek to speak to family members there. I have my dad and 2 sister there. So I always have a phone card in my desk, in case I need to call them. Also they have one there, for the same reasons. its cheaper to use a phone card to call me here, rather than a cell or home phone. Have a good one there.

I don't use phone cards but they are very popular here. Most every store has them available. I think that if I was going overseas that I would certainly get one. Calls can be very expensive.

Hi there! In our country, we used to have phone card to be used in a public payphones. Instead of coins, we used phonecards. But now, since mobile phones are more popular, less people are now using phonecards. But I think they still manufacture those here, though I'm not that sure.

I think every country in the world has a phonecard available to use for their cellular phones to use to call and text messages for their respective communities and also for long distance calls. Most people tend to communicate their love ones in the internet, because they wanted to see them as well as hear their voices upon having the calls.I also uses the phone to call my relatives when in a hurry especially informing them of important messages like sending money or if I am already going back home.

I used to use them when traveling, but now you cannot find pay phones to use them with. I have a pre paid cell and I have unlimited long distance on my home phone. I wonder if it would save me anything to switch. I think I have a phone card lying around that I never have used. I do not know anyone who uses them.

nope, i think phone cards for long distance calls are not aas in demand as it was before.. or maybe that is the case with me because i do not know anyone abroad and there was not such a need for me to call them. But with technology, there are free programs or applications that you only need to be connected with wifi to and when they are logged in as well, then you are sure you would be able to contact them and talk to them for free. exchanges or messages overseas has been very useful as well... =)

Phone cards are not so popular lately. They used to be, a few years ago when I was still as high school. Now everyone has mobile contracts and we can adjust them to our needs so we use the mobile for all the calls that we want to dial! I don't even use the landline any more, it has become too expensive!
