Every time i cooked for my boyfriend i always get a compliment from him. But when i cooked for my family they always say ughhh you don't really know how to cook except for my 6 year old niece whom my number 1 fan. So I don't know if it turned out good or not.

I am a good cook. I have gotten plenty of compliments from those who have eaten my cooking. I don't eat meat, and I wouldn't want to cook it in here. I'd have to have separate dishes and utensils for it; I wouldn't want the contamination. However, that said, I think that I could create a nice meat dish; I know how to cook it and how to season it beautifully. I think that I'm an unusual one in that I don't usually taste test my cooking as I go. I eyeball ingredients, add things based on what I am cooking and what I've already added and, somehow, it just all turns out nicely. I have a passion for food. If I'd gotten this into food about 15 years ago, I might have gone into the culinary arts. However, I didn't know then that I could even cook. My mother isn't a good cook, and she never wanted me in her kitchen. So, I didn't really discover food until my post-college days.

Why can't you eat beef?. I have had this happen where I cooked it thinking it wouldnt turn out and everyone loved it. I remember as a kid entering baking into the fair and winning prizes. One recipe I forgot the sugar, and I won first prize.
