So wasteful.

I had boughten a bundle of bananas, I like mine green and hard. So when they get too rip I cook with them. I had planned on baking tonight, and said this earlier this week to use up a lot of little things. My Mom was standing right there when I said it, I couldnt find the bananas. I looked in the compost pail, and here are 6 perfectly good banans. I peeled them and baked a banana cake with icing drizzle. I asked why they are wasting MY bananas, she carried on how bad they were and I waste all my food. I just walked away and wont even bother talking a word to her anymore, she thinks shes right on everything so I know she will then carry on for hours, then be all negative saying how it's all me, and I need to learn to grow up. She came up 10 minutes later and trying to eat the banan cake, I told her nope she said the bananas were bad, she cant eat them, she will get sick. Yet, when I went to get the spray for the pan its gone, I found it hidden in a back cupboard, which my Mother will hide things because she gets in some snit. I pulled them all, I bought all of it but the tin foil. I told her why is she hiding MY things, she then carried on how I didnt buy them. Yet, it clearly has my name, and is boughten from the dollar store which noone in this house will shop there because they are too good for it. I had baggies (lunch baggies), and they go using them (I mean misusing throwing them out), as well as dish soap. I brought this up, and then the whole store changed. I packed all my food up and left. I went to an old coworkers house, and cant wait until I get approved for an apartment. I put allt he papers in, but they have to call a few of my old landlords, and then a credit checl.

Did you find a place where you can have all of your animals? Six is a lot to bring to an apartment. You will clearly be better off living by yourself with your pets as you will not be losing your stuff to others or having it thrown out from spite.

I also don't understand why people waste so much. Banana's I always buy green too, if getting softer and not able to cook or eat them I freeze them in (great for deserts but also milkshakes etc). I seldom have left overs and it does safe a lot of money. Must be hard to run after your stuff time after time. Good you told your mom she can not eat the cake since it's made of bad bananas!

I agree, and they were perfectly fine to bake with. I usually bake with them after they arnt hard anymore. Just think it's rude, before I elft she threw a big value pack of chicken of my sisters in the garbage that she took out of the freezer this morning.

When I started my discussion a few weeks ago about eating leftovers for dinner, I was shocked to hear that there are so many people that will throw all of their leftovers away. It drove me up the wall because I can't stand to be one of the people that wastes, I simply was not brought up that way. With that said, I don't know why it is that everyone in your family thinks that they have the right to take the things that belong to you and use them as they'd like. I do hope that you get approved for an apartment soon.

I hope that you will be able to get your place soon. That sounds like it is very stressful. When we had to stay with my mom for a few weeks before we got into our new place it was very stressful. I was like counting down the hours until it was time for us to leave. It is just nice to have a place of your own where we don't have to be concerned with what other people are doing or not doing.

I hope you can get the apartment soon, it's sad that you have to go this route but you do need to definitely get out of that mess. Whenever someone here irrtiates me I just leave the room, one person HATES when I do that and starts screaming etc.. It's ridiculous, sometimes I feel like I live with kids... but then sometimes are a lot better then others.

Hopefully, you get moved into your new place soon. Living in such conditions isn't good for your well-being. The sooner you are in your own place, the better.

All I have to say is get outta there asap! It's crazy that you have to keep an eye on every little thing you own - even down to bananas. My gawd, there are too many damned-if-you-do and damned-if-you-don't situations there - it's maddening! I hope you get that apartment approval soon!!

Wish you the best of luck on getting your own apartment! Some people can't appreciate that you're buying your own food and other things that you need. I've lived with my in-laws before and it's not easy. We helped them with food, yet they want to waste our food. Yet when we moved in they had no food, so why would they want to waste ours? Also, have had to deal with in-laws that if they want us to do some thing right now and if you're busy doing some thing for yourself, they get an "attitude."
