Or I will be. I am about to dye my hair blonde again. There was a kit for like $3.00 at walmart and so I got it. I'll dye it before the kids get out of school (my niece and nephew) because I help with homework when they get in.. How often do you dye your hair?

i buy the dye that is temporary and comes in a bottle. it rinses out after each wash and i use it to cover the grey that i have been noticing at my temples. i wear my personality in other ways like clothes and jewelry. i just bought some cobalt blue loafers for $5!

I don't really buy much new clothes or even donate any and chang out my wardrobe. I just wear what still fits me, I still have clothes that don't fit me anymore also. I'm not much for jewelery, those rubber bracelets that's all I wear. That is a good deal on loafers though!

I know what you mean about clothes and jewelry. I would like to get a good collection going of clothes and jewelry. I love ear ring and necklace sets. I don't by them as often as I would like. I think though that if I save some money then I should try and buy a few. I have a lot friends who have jewelry boxes full of jewelry. I should start collecting jewelry as a hobby that way I would have a lot.

I never thought of dyeing my hair because I think I won't look good or any better at all with any other color. I have a younger friend though who dyes his hair black frequently because he seem to be having a lot of white hairs growing on him. He's really young to be having those that's why he is uncomfortable with it and have it dyed immediately when they start appearing. I don't know what the problem is but I'm worried that it is some kind of disease, is it? I hope not though.

It's my first time seeing you in a picture (or seeing you actually, for that matter) and I was really surprise because you appeared different from how I pictured you out. I was actually pertaining to his hairs growing white at a very young age frequently as the disease.

I know how you feel. I've seen pictures of mylotters or other online friends and had pictured them entirely different then what they actually look like. Oh I see, yes I think that that is a disease. A disease brought on by stress of life, but it can also be genetic / hereditary. Then again I think even that would still tie back in with a stressful life full of hard work and hard decisions.

My hair didn't turn out blonde.. - It turned out red, but I like it.
I think it is an obsession, maybe not a disease. He is afraid that people will judge him though, atleast I would think that is why. Dyeing it very frequently isn't good. I try to limit it to every three months or longer. I think it's been longer this time around. Perhaps your friend could get just "root touch ups" and not dye their whole head? I'm going to attach a picture here of myself and my new hair.

I was using henna/indigo every three to six weeks but I stopped like last August. I have had it cut twice since then. I am going to wear my personality as well. Gray. Have fun with your hair.

I've dyed it. It didn't turn out blonde but I almost figured I'd need to buy two kits. It did turn out lighter, so maybe next week I'll buy the same kit and do it again and have it blonde. I like it the color it is now though. I just use whatever's at the store. I try to get suff that says it has oils and stuff to help the hair though, and I only dye it every three months or so.

I do my roots every three to four weeks and my highlights are put in twice a year. The streaks are done professionally but I usually grab a family member or a girl friend to do my roots. I am very fussy over my hair as despite my age it is very thick and glossy and I am careful to have it looked after. I have a good hairdresser who cuts it for me. At my age this is eally my only good thingy left Oh, my eyebrows are dyed and waxed each month as well. My hair is a brown colour and my highlights are blond. I am sure that hou will look fabulous

Hi Cynthi- I don't go to all that trouble yet. I don't even get anythint professionally done except for my eyebrows, though I don't dye those. Aveeno Shampoo (for colored hair) helps keep my hair the color I want it for a longer amount of time, plus a great shine. I always dye my hair one color, but like this time, it ends up several different as if I had highlighted. One hair kit dyed my hair and made it look more red. Two probably would have had it blonde again. Prashu- You can dye your eyebrows but it's the way you do it I've heard. If you're careful it should be fine.

You remind me, Somecow. I usually have root retouch every month but maybe this month I will have another full dye since I want something of lighter shade. I had recently dyed my hair blonde, I instructed the beautician to apply blonde but for me, it's not really my ideal color yet. I will need to go back and have a lighter kind of blonde.

I dyed my hair yesterday with a blonde kit,one of the lightest, and it turned out like a dark strawberry blonde, mostly red. It's okay though, I knew I probably would have been better off getting two kits, but I am happy with the results either way. I've never been to a beautician, I know some have good prices, but overall I find them to be too expensive.

my hair is naturally blonde with now...tones of gray. I do dye it to cover up my gray at times. I actually don't have the money to keep up with it and I probably dye it myself at home about once a year when I get in a mood.

My kit only cost around $3.00, cheaper so it didn't do what I wanted it to exactly but it didn't do a bad job either. I try to only dye it maybe once every three months because that gives it time to grow out and the color to fade. I do use Aveeno shampoo for colored hair, or John Frieda's Blonde Shampoo it keeps the blonde in, I've used it when I was a redhead and it did the same (but with red).

Root touch up? I've bought shamppos like aveeno for dyed hair and that stuff REALLY helps keep the color vibrant. I'm just now dyeing my hair again. I still have a lot of red in it, and it's been like atleast two months since I dyed it.

I did the whole head for mine, and it basically just turned it red again. I do have naturally dark hair. I don't want to use a bleach but might have to..

Well, I don't dye my hair and I prefer to wear my 'original' personality...lol. But as long as you are happy on what you prefer to look then, there are no problems on it...stay beautiful!

I like to dye my hair, I guess I really started about 8 years ago. I've had it red, black, blonde, and brown (like my original color). I prefer it to be red or blonde though as it fits my face better.

The last time that I colored my hair was about three and a half months ago and I know that I really need to do it again. I'm a natural brunette with just a little bit of red highlights in my hair. I dyed my hair to have more red in it than it does naturally. When I get around to coloring my hair again, I intend to color it with even more red in it than I had the last time. The reason that I want to bring out the red is because I really do feel like I'm a redhead at heart.

Whereas I'm the "stereotypical blonde" at heart! . I've had highlights done maybe like once. A friend tried to help me do blonde highlights in my red hair but it didn't come out like either of us wanted it too. There are some great brands out there, I used to buy one (a long time ago) that was called Hot Tamale (that was the color not the brand) and it made my hair look just gorgeous. I posted a picture of myself on the first page of what my hair looks like. It's not the best shot, but if you look to the right of the image you can see it better.

I never dye my hair. I'm glad though that you will be able to dye your hair. I like to often change the style of my hair. It is really nice to change things up a bit. I think I'm the type of person who doesn't like to look the same all the time. If I could I would go by nicer classier clothes. But they often seem to be over our budget.

I dyed it but it didn't come out the color I thought it would. I've dyed it blonde before and it came out lighter, but I think that's because my hair had a lot more red in it then. This time it still had red but was going back to my natural color too. I agree some nice clothes are just too expensive. I try to buy clothes that are still "in trend" but are basically "hand me downs" at second hand shops. There are some around here specifically for teens and young adults. Even Salvation Army had great picks but there's not one in a safe neighborhood anymore.

I don't like to dye my hair. Its a fashion now and many of my friends dye their hair with various colors. I feel chemicals are not good for hair . some of my friends hair already started falling and has become thin. Instead i prefer to apply Henna which is natural and also doesn't have any side affects.

I used henna and indigo to color my hair for over a year. I really liked it and the color, though pretty bright, looked good on me. Never really seemed to have "root" problems either. I just have recently decided to let the world see my gray hair again. I do not want to look too young!!!!

Hi friend, good to hear that you are using hair dye, i am not interested with this kind of artificial things as well as my hair is already enriched with the natural color so i am not in need to use the hair dye to my hair, hope you will wear it before your niece arrival

They are too young to notice or care what people change their hair too. I did have it changed though by then, and I mentioned it to them. I told my niece I was going to dye her hair blonde (joking) and she says "no I want it red!" lol.

Hi there cowgirl, my advice would be to delay the dyeing. In Bond-words, I can say DYE another day. Bleaches and chemicals are harmful for the hairs and skin. So, the less you do it, the better it is. I am 43 and half, I have never even done it once....

I do it maybe every three months if not longer. I know how harmful it can be and that is why I try to also use shampoos that are good for the dyed hair. I've thought of changing to more natural shampoos but they are not good for dyed hair.

I love to give my hair full of attention since I need it to become a presentable one in my job before when I was still active. I do lots of style and color that suited for me. When I move here in my town and decided to change my job into a simple business woman it change my style too. I stop styling and coloring my hair and bring back the natural looks. Just recently I decided to color it again and decided to put color that I misses.

I know I was missing dyeing my hair so I did it again. It didn't come off blonde though, more like a red. I had red in my hair already.. Oh well I still like it. I am working on taking a good picture, my camera isn't very good quality.. I'll upload it to my facebook and here when I do.
