What about yorkshire pudding? I know people usually have this with roast beef, but they are quite yummy. Also, my fatherinlaw fries Brussels sprouts with bacon, I don't know the recipe, but they are tasty even for people who don't like Brussels sprouts.

Garlic smashed potatoes would be good with that. Baked sweet potatoes are quick and easy, too. Roasted veggies are always great--especially carrots. A nice spinach salad, too...

Garlic smashed potatoes sound really good! I would say that maybe some sauted mushrooms would be good too. Butter garlic always goes nicely over grilled vegetables like carrots.

I love a prime rib for any occation, Marìa. I love it with salads. There`s this arab salad I learned how to make a few months ago. It has peppers, cucumber, mint, tomatoes and bourgol. There`s the potato salad (everyone loves it) and the tomato- onion salad. I also like some corn on the cob if you can get it.

I had eaten it several times, but I checked it out at the web to make it. Find it under "arabic salad" or "tabuleh". It calls for an ingredient I don`t usually have. The name is either bourgol, burgol or couscous. It also has a lot of minced mint, but I have that in my garden. Take care!

Prime rib sounds good, but I would have thought that Tamales are the traditional Christmas food in Mexico. I tend to really like to make enchilladas for Christmas as they are simplier than tamales.
Prime rib, mashed potatoes, and a green salad sounds good. For bread, you could do rolls, garlic toast, or crescents they are all good choices. I think that sauteed mushrooms, onions, and maybe some peppers would go nicely.
Pecan pie is always a great choice, but you could also do something more decadent like a Chocolate cream pie topped with cool whip and shaved choclate pieces or chocolate chips.

When I think of prime rib, I think of a good au jus with it a good french bread to dip into the au jus, and either mashed potatoes or loaded baked potatoes and wonderful salad.
finish off with a cherry chocolate cake, and dinner is done.
I make that cake it turns out very moist.

Buttered french bread always goes nicely with a meal. If you want a tasty appetizer how about bruchetta. Toss salad always goes nicely. I would say that you could go grilled onions and mushrooms to accompany the roast.

Nice!!! A prime rib. I want some. Maybe yo come to New York with that prime rib. LOL. Well, you can make various vegetables with that and you could also make some pasta to. Make a nice tasty tomato sauce and some pasta. Maybe Ravioli. Then you will have plenty of food and plenty of left overs.

With such an excellent cut of meat it should be the star of the meal. Add a potato dish, maybe some kind of a fancy mashed potato and a tasty dark green salad and you have it made. If you want a special vegetable, maybe asparagus.
