What are your simple joys and pleasures in life?
My simple joys in life are my pets. I have one dog and three cats. Whenever I hug them, I feel that they take away my problems. The way my dog wags her tail, the way my cats stare at me with their beautiful eyes... These are priceless. :)I love my pets, they are truly God's gifts.

My simple joy is to have some time with myself and be able to have some peace and quiet. When kids are around, the house could be really in tupsy turvy and noisy. So when the kids are all gone to school, that is when I have the time of my life!

The most simple things I enjoy is my bed! Each evening/night I am happy if I can get in and stretch out. I am even more happy if I had a good night rest (which is seldom).
Even more I enjoy (am still waiting for that) if I wake up and go back to sleep again for some time. Also great: a hot shower or bath tub (I don't have one here, great invention), the toilet esp. if I have some privacy and nobody is talking/chatting, asking me for anything behind the door and my children :-))

Nothing beats having enough sleep or waking up feeling well-rested. I have not felt like that for the longest time because of my hectic schedule. And I agree, a bath tub is a great invention. There was one time that I soaked on a bath tub full of hot water and salt scrub, while watching "How I Met Your Mother". Truly unforgettable. Thanks for the response. :)

I agree with you... my little dog is such a joy in mt life. I live here in this big house all alone. I feel so much better with her next to me here. God bless you and yours.

I appreciate the simple pleasure of walking on the streets of a city, looking at buildings, feeling the smell (smoke smell is soo good, i simply love it), watching people.

I feel the same way when I look at the city at night. I love the city lights. I work at one of the busiest business districts in our country and I always get a thrill whenever I look at the lights of the buildings at night. Makes the skyline even more beautiful. Thanks for the response. :)

thanks for sharing this discussion with us. my simple joy is to see my boyfriend smiling at me. when I am down, one smile from him will cheer me up. His smile is bright and pure. to see him smile can make me more happier.

A simple joy of mine is that time at night when the kids are already in bed, the chores are done, and I have all the time in the world before I myself go to bed. It's a my own little 'peace and quiet'.
Most of the time it is spent watching recorded shows and having whatever snack I could find in the fridge.
