We may not have snow for Christmas again

Last year we got snow that stayed on the ground on Christmas Day. The ground didn`t freeze that much, and we half the time didn`t bundle up (being so mild 0C - -10C). This year, it`s been up and down, such as yesterday was 13C, then the day before was -5C. We have had snow, but nothing big (or staying for a period of time). I was listening to the radio, and they said a 50% chance of snow and the temperatures will go up and down (so it wont freeze or get thaw).

I heard on the radio, that it`s suppose to be up and down. So when it gets cold enough to snow, then it will melt.

We actually don't typically have snow here on Christmas. I mean we all always have the hope that we will have a white Christmas, but we live in such an area that snow is always really hit and miss for us. I know that last year it was quite warm on Christmas to the point that my children were able to take their new bikes outside on Christmas Day and ride them. I also liked the fact that we did have a very mild Christmas in as much as we didn't have to spend nearly as much money on heating for our house. That is the only reason that I would really like to have another winter like that again this year.

That's cute. I wonder how it is having snow and having that so cold temperature. In the Philippines and even here in Dubai, we don't have snow but temperature can go low. Not as low as yours, but definitely low. Maybe if we have snow just like you, I'll be looking forward to it as well.

I wouldn't mind if we had a mild winter this year because last year we had a crazy winter with over a foot of snow, I don't want that again. Yesterday it was 58 degrees here and today it's 71 degrees and I live in new york. Tomorrow it's supposed to be back in the 30's with 50 % chance of snow. This winter is crazy with being warm then cold, then rain and then snow. You never know what it's going to be anymore but I am not complaining. I hope we don't have snow because we travel for Christmas and be hard too if we had a bad storm.

It was warm here yesterday. 70 degrees farenheit, today it's in the 50's. I am not sure as I was thinking we'd have a harsh winter but the way things are going it will either be harsh or it won't be. It could be that it will be harsh later. If it would snow on Christmas Day I'd be very happy. I don't know what's going on with the weather here lately.

I expected that we won't get any snow this year for the Christmas. As for last year, we didn't get any snow at all. As matter of fact, about 2 weeks to Christmas, we still get 70 degrees here, and the climate just getting weird each year. I expected that we won't see any snow during December and January too. I hope that we can stay that way, because I personally not really fond of snow though.

You didn't mention in your post what country you live in but as I look in profile..you live in Canada.... From what I know of..It snows in your country... Here in the Philippines..It doesn't snow... In my dreams I think.... :) But I don't think we cannot accept if we could have snow here.. a lot of families here cannot afford to buy decent clothes.. Adding up buying jackets or coats to stay warm.... or heater in homes...or to buy an automatic washing machine to dry clothes.... No... As much as we wanted to have snow here...God knows when it will happen...

It was rather warm her today also...But I can certainly say that I will not be upset if we don't have snow..I really don't like cold weather and I am not so fond of snow... But thats one thing we can't do anything about, the weather....

Hi ricki! I never experience that snow thing yet. But hopefully on the days to come, I would also be able to visit countries with snow, he he. That is one of my dreams. Well, maybe this thing happens because of the climate change factor, so there is a possibility that those countries which does not have snow might have it in the future. Hopefully not because it will greatly affect those people who are not used to such climate or weather condition. Well, in our country, we don't have snow but you know Filipinos are very creative people so we bring snow in our country by putting up a mall that when you enter, you will feel just like you are in other countries. It is all artificial but I think it is getting popularity in our country as the holiday is coming. Hopefully can go there too. Marry Christmas!

Our weather has been up and down like that and we are very dry. No rain or snow. We need the moisture. I would be okay if it dumped a ton of snow on us and it stayed. Our groundwater is low and the moisture would be a blessing. We were in the 70's F yesterday. 60's today. Maybe 30's at the end of the week.
