pairing with cranberry sauce

I made this home made cranberry sauce/salsa... it just contains cranberries, oranges, and sugar pureed. Well my middle daughter just loooooooves it! She wants me to make more which is fine however... I don't know what else cranberry sauce of sorts can be paired with besides turkey? I don't know that we'll have turkey again for a while. Any ideas what I could pair it with?

I make this sauce at home also. We use it with hot cereal, cottege cheese, on any sandwitch, with any meat dish instead of tomatoes. It's very good for you and once you start to break away from the turkey you will find many different uses for cranberry. I add a little Triple Sec alcohal for adults.

Oh that's another good idea perhaps mixed with oatmeal.

I would pair it with veggie burgers or tempeh. You could also try pairing it with fish; it should work well with salmon. Or, you could go sweet with it and serve it over cake; chocolate cake would be delicious but really decadent. Angel food cake would probably serve as a nice base for it--maybe with a bit of whipped cream, too.

That sounds like the cranberry sauce my daughter brought to Thanksgiving dinner. It had oranges and walnuts in it and was really good. Serve it with chicken, pork or lamb dishes. I don't think it would go well with fish or beef, but who knows?

I was thinking poultry or pork as well. I don't fancy lamb... tried it once and it was way too strong.

I do not make that sort, but that is beside the point. We eat cranberry sauce with turkey, chicken, ham and pork roasts or anything else we fancy. I make a sauce that is just cranberries cooked in sugar syrup so it becomes jelly. I have put jalapeno's in it as well. Your cranberry and orange combination should be good to keep sickness away, whatever you serve it with. It is a very yummy choice. You could probably serve it on vanilla ice cream as well.

my client thinks cranberry sauce will go with anything - especially if one of them is stuffing!

I don't eat turkey often either, but I would think it would go fairly well with chicken. I love cranberry sauce. I think that any meal where you think you can get away with serving stuffing you should be able to serve cranberry sauce...so chicken and pork I think would work.

If my children were still at home I would take the cranberry sauce and make muffins or a cake, adding the cranberry and probably some raisins. Or put it in pancakes. Mix it with some honey and use it like marmalade on toast or waffles.
