I was dusting when...

I had just finished dusting the glass shelf with knick knacks on it when my sister walked in. She brought the kids and some treats for all of us. I put the duster down on the next thing I was tasking myself to straighten and walked into the kitchen.
"So what did you bring?" I asked, I was a bit aggravated from being interrupted in my cleaning.
"Cookies, I also brought supper." I smiled at my sister but thought before I spoke next. "I already had something planned for supper!" she just shakes her head and says "sorry".
Well okay so I figure I'm angry, the best thing to do is clean. I go back to what I was cleaning and a moment later everything has been laid out and she calls everyone to eat.
I wake up.
You heard me right, I woke up.
Yeah.. too bad I couldn't wake up to a clean house or kids, cookies and supper!

I guess asking santa for your dream to come true is a little out of the question? Isn't a shame that you can't purchase a hunk or hunkess to do all your housework for the day, now that would really be a wonderful Christmas gift, if you are stuck for ideas, that would be perfect, although I suspect they will want them back in the same condition as they arrived in LOL. Sweet dreams

Some nice eye candy to help with the cleaning would be nice. I think I'd be calling in sick just to keep cleaning so that they'd never leave. Then it was all said and done I'd find something to mess up enough that it'd really be beneficial for him to stay.

I'll put the portable heater in each room and shut the door for awhile for good measure! @bluerubymoon53 (3286)

Dream on, SomeCowgirl. Dream on. I wish I could have some dreams like that. I would be waking up with a smile and a giggle. It sure would be better than having dreams about trains going down the street or fires or tornadoes!!

Cheesecake brownies sounds delish! I don't do any baking so I just get stuff at the bakery in the grocery store.

I don't bake either, unless it's cookies you just have to place on the baking sheet and pop into the oven.

Or falling.
My sister bakes this delicious cheesecake brownie dish that you just want to keep going back for seconds on...
Though I suppose in my dream I was a bit more jealous because she had cooked supper. I'm the one that cooks supper for the people in this household, lol.

You and LovingMyBabies are suffering from the same delusion that houses ever get clean, and that someone will help you. I am glad you only got mad in your dreams.

This one would need a team of 30 to even look as if it could stay clean!
Oh I know there is always something to clean, but it's nice to dream that they never need it, right?
Yes, I am glad I didn't get mad in real life either, but the food and the clean house, I wish it could teleport into real life.

You are too funny!! I seriously read this puzzled and thinking, "What is wrong with Somecowgirl? This does not sound like her and why in heck is she angry at her cool sister bringing her dinner and cookies and stopping her from stupid dusting?" Surely the dust will still be there later, after all. So no cool sister and no cookies and dinner? Still got dust?

My sister is very cool as she does bring treats from time to time, but nope this was just a dream... I did do a bit of dusting last night though, ya know, just to see if she'd come in with yummy snacks.
no suck luck.

You really had me fooled as I did not know it was a dream. However, on a serious note, the cleanlinessor the lack of cleanliness of the house is bothering you as you really want a clean house and this is troubling you subconciously and so you dream about it. You dream because even subconciously, you are trying to solve the problem. I do hope that it gets better for you

I have been thinking of it more often lately. Thinking I will get up and clean a little but I end up staying online and earning instead of doing any cleaning.
I guess I feel overhwelmed by it. Out of four people living here only two of us will / can clean. Out of the two that can, only one really sees the purpose in it, and that is me.
But if you only have one person doing the cleaning and only one person who really hinders the cleaning it's almost not worth it.
My grandfather is a collector, he collects even the most useless stuff. He gets coffee out instead of getting a box and making a pot to drink throughout the day. Of course, mind you, he gets it for cheaper because of his seniority, and also because some places if you bring the cup back you can get it for cheaper...
In any case I have cleaned before and tried to make things look nice, it stayed that way for a little bit.
I need to be an example to my niece and nephew though. When they come to visit, my niece especially, just leaves things everywhere and I have to constantly remind her to take it back. I need to be the one to lead by example and clean, make things look nice...
Here I am ranting, sorry for being so long-winded. I suppose I should start small and perhaps straighten the things I had straightened in my dream.

Well, I believe that in this discussion, you told something you've dreamed of. In a nutshell, you described a dream, for you have concluded the discussion with the phrase: "I wake up."
Well at least say that it was not a nightmare, and then what do you care if in the dream you are not able to enjoy your lunch? Meanwhile, it was obviously "virtual food."
The food that we eat in our dreams, it do not make us fat!

It wasn't the food that I was bummed to not get, but the clean house. Though "virtual food" does not fatten us, waking up to a hungry stomach and fresh dreams of yummy treasts can, lol.
