Over the years of TV-entertainment, it has definitely made its viewers feel the need to be entertained in the different TV shows media networks are offering. This includes a wide variety of TV entertainment such as TV series, Talk Shows, Reality and Talent shows.
This form of TV programs helps people get inspired and get everyone show that they have something they can offer prior to TV entertainment is concern, a good hit TV program nowadays are Talent Contest reality shows that show off a different side of competitors vying for the spot to be the ultimate champion on such program.
Talent shows like singing contest, Dance contest, and Even Fashion contest shows off the best of the best and does do technical voting on talent elimination. While they have voting criteria, viewers at home can now take part in the voting process to let their favorite stays in or booted out from the competition.
While many vote for their favorites, talent wise has some issues in terms of who stays in the competition. Since many would like to vote for their favorites, it leaves that some would stay in the competition although they are showing less and does not improve in such programs.
In my opinion, there are some contestants on talent shows that have really got what it takes but they were voted out of the competition because they have fewer voters. So in this new trend of talent shows, do you agree that some would win because of shear talent? Or they are still in the competition because they were saved by audience votes. Share your thoughts…

We see this problem with American Idol several winners didn't make very much money and another person that season went on to a very successful career. My example Clay very successful business man that came in second and the winner many would know say who Ruben hasn't done well.

PS Clay is an amazing singer and should have won. I think many believe he should have won on The Celebrity Apprentice also. Arsenio did a great job, so I didn't have any problem with the outcome.

True, such batches such as Clay's on AI is one example why we sometimes thought of its audience votes are worth in talent contest and reality shows.

When it comes to television or other mediums, popularity is everything and talent is second place. We all know that every TV personality has to be packaged and has to be constantly liked or remembered by the public. Not doing so will make a person /aspirant to be useless for producers and talent handlers. After all, people invest in a person for them to be famous and fawned over by other fans who believe in that person. They would like to have their investment back and if not with added profit. This is what the public doesn’t know or perhaps chooses to ignore. As long as their favorite goes to the top, what do they are about other people’s favorite. In the end, they come and they go. The viewing public has a short attention span and a short history, one thing that will be constant.

Yes, some were saved by the votes shows used audience participation votes to make it more reactive and that people will take part in searching for the people they wanted to win. However, if i would to choose, i rather stick on to those who judge the shows wherein they have more skill about judging.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Yes u are absolutely right, it is quite puzzling to see the voting process and its outcome in regards to the reality shows. Sometimes the voting results are so unexpected that u go into a deep thinking if the results are tampered or is the real one.
I have seen in many shows were the results are very much unexpected but still we have to accept the same results as we have nothing to do with the results also. We have to accept the way it is going on.
What say?

So true, sometimes you feel that some contest are tampered because of an unexpected result however, we have nothing else to do but to accept the results though.

No, I don't like a talent can be predicted by voters. I have seen good talents (in my taste) that was put down by votes. Although voting now is inevitable because the show gets sponsorship through these telecommunication networks. I can not blame them. But definitely not at all.
