Is there something wrong with my account?

I was so happy yesterday because I received a payment from my friend to other country. I immediately check my account in paypal and really happy because this is my first time receiving money using this account. But what happened? After 5 minutes my account was temporary hold and subject for review. Oh Oh! Did I do something wrong? I already provide the information that they needed and until now it is still temporary hold. I hope everything will be ok. I'm very upset...

It seems like PayPal has flagged the transaction as suspicious and potentially fraudulent, and the hold will remain until they're done conducting their investigation. I've found some threads in the Etsy forums that say it's usually lifted within 24-48 hours, so hopefully that will be the case for you. I'm guessing that they flagged the transaction because it's the first payment your account has received, your friend is in another country, and it's a fairly large amount. It's not that you've done anything wrong. It's that they are taking a few extra steps to protect your friend and make sure that it was an authorized payment. You might try contacting your friend. They might be able to expedite the review process if your friend calls PayPal and confirms that the transaction is legitimate.

It's explained by renkinjutsushi very well here. I should just say then that you should not worry if there really is nothing to worry about. I'm sure PayPal is just doing their job and if all is clear, they will definitely give back your money.

Five of my colleagues who received Paypal dollars from Toneaday had experienced the same case. Three of them patiently waited and fortunately their account were brought back to normal but the two did not pay attention to the Paypal's email instead they replied a very absurd message and so the two did not recover their account.

You should ask Paypal themselves what was causing the money to be on hold.

No, I have not experienced the same problem. But I try to send them an email everytime I have questions that I could not find answers from their FAQs. They usually respond within 24 hours.

yes, thanks for your help friend. I did it yesterday and they immediately answer my questions. There's no problem with my account or I didn't violate any rules, it's just the senders account. They asked some supporting documents from the sender. Thanks for the great help.

Try to contact Paypal for support. You must I think verify your Paypal. Such payment processor which is Paypal is very strict presently. In that way, they can be able to maintain secureness in transaction. Everything will be okay if you just contact Paypal support and do follow their instructions. I once remembered having trouble also with my Paypal account though I am now very much glad since Paypal did not let me fall from it. They are very helpful in every way possible. Plus, the one who helped me in Paypal is so friendly. Negate your negative though. All will be okay.

I have no idea why that happened, what is important is you did not violate any of their rules. One possible cause is that maybe the sender has some issue on his or her paypal account so paypal needs to trace and fixed everything. I just hope it will be fine. Chill and wait for the result, stay positive

Hello Thanks for asking but until now the money is still hold... The sender already uploaded the documents that Paypal team needed for the case.. Perhaps I need to wait for many days until paypal will give me my money..
