About a mailman or something (Jack Black) who gets to travel to the bermuda Triangle..and finds this island with little people living on it..it was a pretty cute movie, i loved the characters.. since emily Blunt and Jason Segel was also there.. Just a light movie, wished they showed more of the giant's island.

My mother read the book Gulliver's Travels to me when I was a child. What a tale! It was made into a movie in the 90's too with Ted Danson in it and his wife. I don't really care for Black and his type of humor. Sounds like this one was cute and entertaining. That is always good.

The tv version with Ted Danson is closer to the book.

I have heard of this, not a huge fan of Jack black though.. i don't really find him that funny. But i do prefer him than Jim Carrey, at least he is not over the top all the time.
It is an interesting story, but i don't think it would be great as a comedy.

It was probably cut and edited out to save time on the movie. I loved the movie and also wish they would have explored more of the islands.. and the love interest.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, although i have never watched this movie but i have heard about the beauty of work and script depicted in this movie.
i do remember that as a child i had read this story and was moved by its content and had wished then to watch it made as a movie and i would definitely like to watch it after u have described that it has been depicted very well.
What say?

Maybe i will even check out the 90s version, maybe it is better and they stuck closer to the book.
