Sharing food to homeless people

I was walking about a week ago in the Overpass near Robinson Galleria. Then I saw a few beggars asking for alms. I always saw them there as if the Overpass is already their home. I felt so sad that I can enjoy my food but some people do not even eat for a day. Then I made a plan to purchase few purchase and rice meals on th 25th of December since I have a shift on this day. I will then give food to these people as a way of helping and sharing my blessings.

You know, I have shared items I have bought myself from the store and given it to these people. I have done so with a heart. I sympathize with them and thought I was showing some compassion. Now, I just don't know. I read the other day in an article about pan-handlers (people begging for food and money) and that the majority of these people do have homes, but they beg for goods. I certainly want to help if I can and when I am able. I also read, the majority of homeless people do not beg or panhandle for foods. It's hard to tell the difference for sure and I will always share what I have, because sharing is caring, right? I'm like you, I can't eat and enjoy my food knowing someone else might not have something to eat. It's beautiful of you to want to share your blessings

I think that what you wish to do is something that they would all be grateful about. I do try to give them food as well whenever I can. Although some would say that we should not be letting them rely on food being given by passersby, still sometimes I feel so sad seeing them searching for food inside the garbage bins.

That's very generous of you. It's always nice to hear people concerned of their less fortunate neighbors. A lot of people nowadays don't even bother to stop by and try to help the people that need help. I guess they're just busy with their own problems that they fail to see other people's problems. It's just sad.

Chiwa, it is good that you want to share food with homeless people. It is so noble of you that wiling to buy food and share with them. As for we here, we are donating some money to the charity centre, to buy gifts for those poor children. Hope they have a wonderful time during that day....

I'm happy to know that you are one of those people who wants to share their blessings to the less unfortunate. I guess giving them food instead of money is the right thing to do. As we all know, some of these beggars if we can say they are unfortunate, because we don't know if they are members of a syndicate that uses small kids to do begging for them. I think it's better to give to charitable institutions or foundations that really helps less fortunate people, especially the old one who can not work to provide for themselves.

that's a good thought. i always pass by there and yes, there are a lot of beggars in that area. They even go to Robinson's Galleria and ask money from people drinking coffee in Gloria Jeans. I sometimes give food to the kids but I feel a lot better when I give to foundations who help these people because giving to them while they are asking for alms on the street put them in danger.

Oh it is really wonderful when you are able to do this. :D sometimes people just are in this situation so as to test their judgement.. sometimes they show their charity more when they have more.. and usually this time of the year we do have more. =)

That is so nice of you to do that for those homeless people on Christmas. That is so kind. I cant imagine being hungry and going days without food and having to beg for it. Being homeless is so sad. My heart breaks for people who have to live like that.

All of us who have enough to eat could share, then this world would have no starving people, there is plenty of food for all. To bad more of us are not willing to make the effort to share. Blessings to you for what you do.

I've always been the kind of person that tries to do what I can do when I can do it because of the fact that I recognize that I've been blessed in many ways in my life. This is something that is especially true when we are in the midst of the Christmas season. I am the kind of person that always carries a little bit of spare change with me during this part of the year so that I have a little something that I could offer to individuals that are less fortunate than my family and myself.

It is a good deed o share the blessings. I had seen some people in the capital and feel bad. I hope that Christmas will be nice if they have something on their table. Great day!
