I keep day dreaming about a life changing event that wont even happen until the middle of next year lol ...
I really want to stop myself but every hour I see something that reminds me and I start thinking again . Its two event but one is more sure than the other to take place.
Have you ever been so excited about something that it keep running through your mind ? The more you try to stop the more it come at you
I will probably calm down in a couple of days lol

I have been really excited for events before, usually soccer games. In my head I imagine the best scenarios possible and having as much fun as possible- however there's always a part of me which says the event will be disappointing unlike I imagined. which ends up happening quite often unfortunately...

Some part of me think that also , it may not be as you expect . That is why I am enjoy the day dream right now because their is a possibility that when that time arrive I will chose something else to do .

Well, my case is a bit special.
I am what I am looking at the moment, and trust me, I would really need is a job!
Work for social and economic independence, or rather, not having to depend from anyone!
After ten years I do not work, it seems that this goal for me is to be stored.
However, I do not want to discourage. In 2003, I concluded my last work experience. Want to see that in 2013 (ie exactly 10 years later) I succeed (and I hope so too!) to settle down in that aspect?
We shall see!

I know what you mean , it would be great if you dont have to depend on anyone , I wish there were real job offers that you could do from home . I hope you will be able to do that in 2013 also .

When there are things to look forward to, or when we are going through a rough time and want it to be over, we all tend to try to speed time up. It does not really work that way, though. I hope in a few days you will be enjoying the time your are in now.

It's not unusual to day dream about an upcoming event no matter how far down the line it is. Things will remind you of it bringing your mind back to it. Yes, you will probably calm down in a few days but there's nothing wrong with dreaming about it.

Yes I think its normal specially being excited in the up coming event.
I still don't have exciting event coming but like you sometimes I hate when I'm day dreaming about it.
Especially at night when going to sleep too much excitement I can't sleep.

Hi Silverfox
Well, calming down in a couple of days... depends on the kind of thing that you are expecting. If it is marriage... then it is difficult to calm down in the couple of days. If it is someone whom you love arriving or you meeting up... the same.
If it is some result of an examination/interview, then too I would have remained excited for more than a couple of days.
