We put our Christmas tree up yesterday finally! It's just a small fake tree but I cherish it. We used to get a larger real tree for many many years but the space here is just getting too cramped. I wanted to get a white feather tree and decorate it in all purple but it wouldn't fit in my room where it would have gone, oh well. Do you like white trees or do you only get the traditional green ones? I do like all kinds. My cat likes to sleep under/near it.

We used to get a real tree, usually a douglas fir. But the last few not so much. Too expensive. THis year my daughter got a purple fake tree that has irredescence of some kind in it that makes it look like it has ornaments on it. Lights up a room pretty good. It will do for us.

I would never pay $100 for a tree. $30 or less. My daughters tree is beautiful.

Yes it can get to be expensive. If you pay say $100. for one tree a year you could save $1,000. in ten years. I guess it's not much to some bu to those with little money it means alot. Your daughter's tree sounds beautiful, especially the irredescent part. I like how a tree will light up a whole room and make it look so much nicer. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

My parents have had the same tree since I was a kid. You can say it's getting in bad shape . We put ours up the other day, but didn't put many decorations on as the cats climb the tree, and break them. I did buy some plastic cheap ones from the dollar store, which they are off the tree rolling across the floor with cats following. I have been saving online earnings for items when I move out, I just put a Christmas tree. I want a small one, as the cats eat it (especially Patches), and they climb it. My favourtire colour is purple so I would decorate it that way. More or less I was going to look this year after Christmas if any fake ones were on sale.

Good for you! I used to love the part where I got to decorate. I still need to put a tree up. I am excited to do so this weekend, just a little Charlie Brown one. It gets me in the "Christmas" spirit though. I especially love the real ones. But the white and green fake ones are nice too. My aunt used to own a fiber optic one, where it changed colors - THAT was really pretty. Happy holidays to you!

I prefer the traditional green one. The white ones remind me of my grandmother when I was a kid. She had one of those wheels with different colors that turned to make it change colors when that color was in front of the light. I thought it was pretty cool.

Oh that sounded like a pretty tree your grandmother had but the green ones are pretty too. You can have more than one tree in the house if you have the space. My cousin had more than one, they are getting their first real tree though this year.

It was time.. Mine has been up for more than 5-6 weeks here. Are you in the xmas mood now? What are your xmas plans there?

Yea, I guess no one was in the mood to decorate this year. If I did have the space in this room I would go Christmas crazy with the decor. I'm trying to get in the mood for Cmas now, yep. I'll probably be mostly at home for the holidays, cause I don't really get together with any of the other relatives who are still alive anymore. Maybe I'll get a chance to go out but who knows. I hope to get out of here for at least a few hours and enjoy some fun instead of the arguing that goes on instead.

We don't have xmas tree for this xmas. Just xmas lights. I guess my sis in law is too busy to put a xmas tree. But, it's fine as long as we are happy...I prefer the green one every time we put a xmas tree and we decorate it red and yellow...

Well, it doesn't matter if you have a tree or not, as long as you remember what the holiday stands for in general. Holiday lights are beautiful, do you put them inside or outside your house? We used to put lights outside as a kid but that didn't last very long. Red and yellow decorations would look pretty on a green tree, and give it alot of festive colour. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
