Hi, I purchase clothes from discount sale shops. I don't know they may be used or not. But I don't hesitate in purchasing them. They are in good condition and we can use them after washing. I think these clothes are used means they are just tried for one or two times and then they are sold. because they look new. We can get these close at cheap rates.

It was a lot earlier this year that I decided to take my daughter thrift shopping for the first time. This has become one of her favorite things to do because there is such a large variety of different clothes that you can choose from. In addition to that, it is also a great way to save money. You know that with Christmas coming up, she has actually told me that she wants me to give her money instead of of getting her clothes for Christmas so that she can go shopping at the thrift store.

I love a cheap haul and thrifting is just one cheap find that I love doing. I was addicted to “ukay-ukay” back when I was still schooling. Since during those times, as a student you don’t have that much money to comprehend your wants in terms of fashion and styling. With an “Ukay-ukay” find, you are able to buy things that are cheap in price and if you get luck on finding some haul, you end up buying designer garments. Also, I love the fact that you can do a lot of alterations on such items because they are cheap, you don’t feel hesitant on altering them because they are just cheap finds.

I do go to Ukay Ukay Store too and I learned it to one of my closest friend in college. She seldom buys clothes to the department store rather in ukay ukay. At first, I cannot stand to stay longer in the ukay ukay store because of the smell of the clothes. It is irritating to the nose but it changed when I had chosen one of those items and I just got it in a very low price and it lasted long.

Here in the good ole U.S.A we have yard or garage sales. That is the way to go! I clothed my children in used clothing, new clothing too, that was purchased at these yard sales for a fraction of the original cost. No one could guess that those clothes were not new or purchased new for full price. I tried buying them for myself at yard sales, but because I'm a bit on the fluffy side, there weren't a lot in my size. I have found that if I go to the clothing stores at the end of each season that I can purchase clothing as much as 90% off. Now that's what I call a bargain.

I've bought a lot of used clothes at the Goodwill Stores around here. If you take the time and really look you can get some great buys. I've been lucky every time I visited the store.

Yes, I do visit second hand stores for branded clothes at cheaper prices. You really need patient to search for something that you wish to have.

Thanks for this discussion Our place don't have any shop that sells used clothes; on the weekly market day, one can see some men selling them, some very poor persons buy them, some buy to use to clean car etc; all buy new, may not be branded ones though

The first I heard about it some 3 years ago, I was a bit hesitant. Coz I feel that I couldn't see myself wearing another person's things. You know that we were taught to use only the things that we own..... So, one time, my sister in law brought me to a really big outlet and I was in shock how big it was and their stuff were enormous. I was more surprised seeing a lot of great clothes there, mostly from Japan and Hong Kong. Some still have the original tags on. I think we went through every stuff for about 3 hours. And guess what? I was able to buy about 7 blouses and 3 dresses! All for just less than $100! Big bargain!

Well, in my town, opened a number of stores that are all part of a chain of selling used stuff. It's called "Il mercatino dell'usato"(the flea market). The difference is that in these stores, you don't find only clothing (even if it is the most popular), but has just about everything. The objects, furnishings, televisions (hopefully working), cd dvd discs used and much more. I frankly speaking, there, I've never bought anything. However, I think its in the clothing sector, especially for women, you can find clothes at attractive prices.

Hey! Good job in finding a great shop... I also buy second hand clothes and I would especially go to shops whose things are from Korea, China or Japan. I find their clothes cute and they actually last longer compared to the brand new clothes that I buy in the Mall. Probably because if I buy a brand new clothing, it's quality is not the same as of those second hand clothes one can buy from "Ukay-ukays".

I haven never bought anything in a shop with used clothes. I have friends though that have found some really amazing vintage clothes in second hand shops!
