We feel good after we do some physical activity, after we go to the gym or after jogging. We feel that we have more energy, our shape is better, our body starts to look different and our mood improves considerably. A lot of advantages. But still... some of us find hard to motivate ourselves to start doing it and continue doing it. It's a common atitude to postpone it for tommorow and than for the next tommorow and so on... We suddenly don't feel well, have a headache, or very sleepy or we discover a very important activity that we should do. How do you motivate yourself to do it? A personal trainer is a great solution in my opinion, especially a strict one, well prepared and with some psychology studies also. That kind of guy that you don't want to disappoint and that makes your sport experience an entartaining one. But this is certainly more expensive than go jogging by yourself... Can you motivate yourself by your own, or do you need a trainer, a friend or a group?

The best motivation for me is when I am being challenged by other people to reach a certain goal. For example, in our company, we have the "Biggest Loser" challenge once a year and I really lose weight during that time than ordinary months. Another example is when I joined a 5K fun run, I really prepared a month before the said event even though it's just a fun run. In short, I need a group to motivate me to do sports and other physical activities.

Yes, competition works also for me. The whole thing seems to be not only about sports, but about proving yourself you are capable. And it's easier to compare yourself with others than to compare with what were you the previous day. Good for you that you found your group! :)
