I was watching the national news and they were showing the four funerals for four of the children murdered in the Newtown mass murder. I think it would be something I could fathem if it had been a car accident or an illness. But a mass murder. How do you wrap you mind around this?

i thought 911 was terrible and the oklahoma bombing but for some reason this just seems worse and i know its not worse it just feels like it to most of us. ive cried every day for a while since it happened. ive even tried to avoid it on tv but its like that terrible thing you are drawn to try and figure why and cant help but watch the other things never effected me like this. maybe because its so near xmas. i keep crying for those parents that have to look at presents those babies will never open

And I thought I had gotten past those and then came the Colorado mass musrder and now this. And from the news reports I have heard I guess there have been several others I hadn't heard of. I am so saddened by these poor children and the ending of their lives. It is just unfathomable. Yes, this time of year the loss will be even greater than at other times.

That's why I don't listen to the news. Or most days I don't.

I saw part of this too and was devastated. I do not think that we can wrap our minds around this. I also feel that the parents they have interviewed are actually in shock and the reality has not yet hit them. When it does hit then they will be devastated. At the moment they are just trying to cope. May God help them as thye have to live with this reality for the rest of their lives.
