Do you charge your cell phone frequently?

India
December 20, 2012 3:27am CST
Some persons are interested in charging their cell phone frequently, this kind of persons don't allow their cell phone to lose its charge even for a single point and charge it again. Mostly this kind of persons will keep their cellphone in charge for a long. I will charge my cell phone after getting the low battery alert. I am not interested in charging it frequently. Too much of charging activities will spoil our phone battery. What about you? Do you charge your cell phone frequently?

Hi friend, i think you read out all the replies here. As you mentioned you are waiting for low battery alert to charge your phone, that's great. Don't forget to remove from the charger if the charge is fully completed

No I'm horrible with cell phones and maintaining them. I lost my cell phone again the other day and today I've been trying to track it down. I just talked to my friend and he said that they found it in their car. No I have to wait for him to drive back over here so I can get it back. I'm just really not good with cell phones at all. I lose them and break them way to frequently. This doesn't even count charging it. I forget to even take it with me to work and other places I go. I wish I could be more responsible with my cell phone but I'm just not sure if I'm capable of doing so. Hopefully I'll have more luck in the future with my phone.

yes is true that many people put their mobile phones in charge so often probably because they are afraid that the battery in the medium level won't be enough for all day and so they charge to stay safe..personally i charge the mobile phone when it needs so as you when i receive the alert to put in charge soon...if not i will wait till the battery is really low...

HI vp, The standard time to charge a cell's battery is only 45 minutes. For brands like Nokia or Samsung, it is not advisable to charge more than the required time. But depending on our usage as these days all the tasks are being done on mobile (except a few) but you get good cells which does not require daily charging. You should plug in when the mobile is left with the last point and if possible avoid calling / attending call when it is at the last point instead you can text the other person. We do not follow the actual guidelines for using mobile phones do we? Hence people in 20s & 30s are ending up having those ear problems which people had in their 60s and 70s just two years ago. Oh, my case - since i use a china made cell phone which doesn't have longer bater back up but still i need to charge them every second day.

I only charge the battery of my phone when necessary, and like you've mentioned when I get the warning of having low battery. But there are exceptions too, if my cellphone's charge is pretty low and I have to go somewhere where bringing my charger is pretty impossible because there's no outlet to plug it to, I would charge my cell phone before I leave. But I only do that when I know I'll be away from home for several hours and I know that my phone won't be able to keep up with my needs for the whole day. Frequent and unnecessary charging is harmful to the cellphone and the battery so I try to avoid doing that as much as I can.

I charge my cellphone only when the battery runs down. I have an iPhone, and I use it a lot, so it's not unusual for me to charge it at night before I go to bed. Mind you, because of the way I use itduring the day, it's always down at about 3 percent, when I plug it in. By letting it run low like that, I am doing better on the battery.

Hello Vidhya, I do charge my phone on alternative days. My phone’s charge may last for two days without any problem. I think if the battery becomes weak then you must charge the phone frequently else charging once in a day may be enough. Overcharging may spoil the life of battery with more heat.

Hi Sree Well, with those new smart phones it is not applicable. I mean people keep using internet and gaming on them whole day, so they have to charge their smart phone more times in a day even their battery is not weak. And yes Android smart phones drains battery more faster for sure.

Hiya vid., Do not charge mine cell phone very often either. I have an anti radiation sticker on the back of the phone and it keeps the battery charged up for quite a while longer. As the battery keeps failing a bit and someone gave me the sticker as a gift I thought I would use it for that to keep the battery going longer and not forever having to charge it up. Although I use it a lot I switch it off a lot too so that way the battery life keeps better too. Since I put the sticker on the whole phone itself works a bit better too I don´t know why that is but it does suppose its to do with helping the battery.xxx

Hello VP One of my cousin is like that. Not completely like those person, but still he used to keep his phone in charging whenever he is playing games and using other apps, so that he can use his phone fully when he is out. Actually it is helpful trick... But you are right on one thing. Such task can over charge the battery and reduce its life. That's why I never do that. I work on my phone without charger and put it in charge when it only have around 10 % battery .

I do charge my phone frequently. Sometimes, I charge it when it reached 20 plus percent left or 30 plus percent left. For me, I feel unsafe with my phone when it is in low battery situation. Since I usually love to play with my phone and always contact my friends with it. Sometimes at night, I will check if my phone is around how many percent to decide want to charge it or not. If it is around 60 plus percent, I might choose to charge it since I might use it till quite late and the plug is quite far from my bed. So I charge til around 80 plus percent, and I will use it till quite late and I will always left my phone turn on the whole night through to let myself feel safe with it is turning on. Hopefully, it won't be spoil so easily though. But I think the way I charge it probably will spoil the battery of my cellphone sooner or later.

For me ,I just charge my cell phone in the evening. If it still had enough power to run,I would not charge it.Just like what you said, frequent charging can destroy the mobile phone.I think that frenquent charging,to some extent, reflect the phobia of some people. If the power of their cell phones is not full, they will feel a little upset. They are afraid that they cannot be got touch with for the battery die.Do you think so?

Yeach, actually sometimes I also worry about the same thing and feel a little upset when the power of my cell phone is not full, especially when it was below 50% of the power. When this happened,I just avoid to go out,and if I have to be outside without a charger,I will turn off my cell phone. Then my anxiety will be weakened.

Personally, especially with an Android type phone, it really depends on what you are doing as to how long your phone will last, and which is Best for it. Also there are now the longer lasting batteries that seem to help as well. I have never heard either way on which is Best, as it personally depends on what I am doing on my phone as to how long the charges last.

I have a friend who religously chrages her cell phone each night, but she usee her phone constantly. I usually  only use my phone to keep in to ugh with my husband when I'm away from the house and to call the phone company  when our land phone does not work. I never recharge my phone more than once a week and sometimes even let the battery  run down completely before I recharge.

I always wait until my battery is low and then that’s the time I will charge my device, When charging a Cell Phone battery to its full volume, One should understand what technology is being implemented to maximize its battery life and also, to help in the prevention of battery damage. Moreover, it is not a good idea to overcharge your cell phone. Leaving it over the charger for more than its ideal battery charging hour most likely cause it to overheat resulting to its breakage in the cell’s lifespan. Most batteries and chargers contains very tiny built circuits that aids in the knowledge of the device to charge and stops when it reaches to its maximum charging level if you exceed its ideal hourly charging time, its most likely that you are hurting its cell battery life.
