No, really, I don't want anything else for Christmas!

My parents keep asking me to compile my Christmas list. But, there's nothing else I want. I mean, my biggest wish was to get a smart phone. I've waited 21 years for one, but I thought I'd never get it. My mother and father have always been at odds about getting smart phones. My dad wanted it, but my mother thought it was pointless. So, we'd never get it. Now, they finally agreed and we're getting them for Christmas. That's the best gift I could ever ask for, besides being with my loved one for the holidays. Yet, they keep asking me! You guys should see my list. All it is is necessities. Underwear, socks, lounge pants... Although, I did want a certain fragrance and lotion, it's quite an empty list. What I really want is money. I need jeans and maybe a pair of sneakers, but I want to go out and try them on before I buy them, ya know? I understand they have a budget to spend on Christmas gifts for my sister and I, but I'd rather they give me the solid cash instead. What did you ask for Christmas this year?

i totally understand. my dad feels like he has to buy something for me this Christmas but I really don't need anything (at least not for now). I think people should realize that Christmas is not really just about gifts and that you can buy people gifts any time of the year!

Hi stephanie Well you have waited 21 years for smartphone??? Anyways I do agree with you that solid cash is better than a gift. But then that would defeat the whole purpose of gift right. So you can do one thing. Ask them for some gifts that are not so expensive and tell them to take you out for shopping with whatever is left of the money. I would have done the same if I was at your position. Anyways have a nice day ... ~SuperShames~

Yes. I'm a bit outdated. I asked for a fragrance and lotion, then the rest were small necessities like underwear and socks. Then I asked for money too. Happy holidays!

Well I meant that smartphones have been existence for very few years... How come you waited for them for 21 years.. I dont think they hardly existed for more than 10 years.

Since my house is full of knick knacks...and I don't really need one more thing I did ask for adhesives! LOL.....I make alot of cards and go through all those types of things like double sided tape, glue dots, glue sticks! So that's what I wanted.

Hi thank you for welcoming me, I bought them some toys that they gonna love, my boys are not that picky, simple things are enough for them even if not expensive.

My dad asked me and all I could think of was a pink or orange tea kettle. I mean there are things that would be nice to have, but when you live on so little, things just don't seem as important as they used to.

I didn't ask for anything for Christmas. I never do because I don't worry about gifts for myself. All I am worried about it if my kids get a few nice things that they would like. Great for you that you are finally getting a smart phone!! Maybe you will get a gift card to go pick out some jeans or shoes?

My hubby asked me the same question and I answered like you I only needed socks and PJ's or lounge pants for around the house. Now I see that he has like seven gifts for me under the tree. I also think he has a gift for me at his mom's house. I don't know what else he got me but its way to much. We were only suppose to give each other one gift and instead there is alot more.

I never ask for anything, or tell my son what I want, as I never know, but, every year they surprise me with something I needed, and didn't ask for. I am an easy person to buy for, so they pretty much know that I will be happy with it. I did tell my son though that my printer stopped working, so maybe I will get that, but if I don't, then that is okay, as I will buy it for myself after the holiday. My ex husband is very hard to buy for, as he never tells me what he wants, so I have to guess, and so far I have done pretty well. I am one of these people that have just about everything, and don't need all that much. I just enjoy spending the holiday with my son and, daughter in law and grand children. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Blessed New Year.

Gifts - Christmas gift for everyone
Aw I know how you feel. I was never ask for what I want for Christmas but I've seen a lot of gifts for me under the Christmas tree. My aunt decided to give some gift cards for me so I can buy what I really want which is a good idea. I don't know what else I want except the Jennifer Lopez shoes that I'm asking from my hubby haha

I don't ask anything during Christmas, but I ask anything I need not necessarily during Christmas. If someone will give me something then it's okay, but I'm also okay when I receive nothing during Christmas. For me, true giving is done anytime so this is where I stick. I give when I have, and I ask when I need.
