Are you the type of person who always looks good for the day?

There are individuals who always look nice everyday. From their hair, clothes, makeup, shoes, and accessories. I often times feel like I would like to keep up with it all but I just can't seem too. It seems like it is a lot of work to have a great outfit and everything looking great everyday. If you are that type of person do you have any tips? How do you keep up with everything especially if you are a wife/partner, and mother?

Well you'll be fine as long as you take care of yourself and you eat well and you exercise and you keep your figure. If youre a mom, most of the people your age would like to still have a good body and nice skin. Preserve what you have and you're good to go. Sometimes investing on new clothes aren't as practical. Sometimes it's better to stick to old styles that flatter your body. Keep a positive outlook, let your beauty within shine out. :)

Thanks I appreciate that. I agree with you that trying to get new clothes at times isn't always practical. I'm hoping that I can find away to get nice clothes at cheaper prices. Because I know that spending forty dollars for a top or dress isn't practical at all for our family. It just takes time to search through second hand stores to find nice clothes to build our wardrobe. Yeah have definitely have to try and preserve what we have. Taking care of family husband and children does take a lot out of us in many ways. I hope to keep letting my beauty from within shine. Thanks again!

I hope you do find nice cheap clothes that fit you. And yeah, why buy a 40 dollar top, if you can find one less than 10 dollars. I have a big belly, I'm not necessarily fat but my belly is my problem area, so what I do is I wear high waisted pants, I know that high waisted pants are very out of style but it shapes my body and I look good in it. To be honest, no one ever tells me "your jeans are high waisted" and not many people make a fuss out of my belly. So, even if these clothes are old and out of style, if they enhance your body's good parts, then keep them. I know how you feel, my mom stresses about her looks so much, she's 50 now and after her divorce, a lot of men are taking a liking on her. And yes it is still possible at that age. :)

Yes I know what you mean. I'm glad to hear that your mother is having men interested in her. I'm sure that she feels special about this. I agree if clothes are comfortable and looks good on us then we should wear it. I'm working on exercising more so that I can lose weight. So I'm planning on not buying anymore clothes until I lose some weight.

I change into my day clothes after a refreshing bath and with these clothes I am ready to welcome visitors if any and also get out of the house if I need to. The only make up I use is some talcum powder and lipstick - saves time!

When I was younger I felt we were more noticed by others but today with every one dressed to kill even the youngsters are not noticed. I had this fun test conducted on friends when they had come to my place for a get together and at the end of the party, each one was asked to write down what their friends wore - they were all hidden from each other. And the results were catastrophic! Now what shall we name this hobby?!

I completely agree with about saving time. It seems I'm always running late even when I'm just doing ordinary things so adding makeup, accessories, picking out different shoes, or changing my clothes fifteen times seems a bit overwhelming to me. Convenience is always easier for me. I think though I should start to view it as a hobby and work on it a little more.

Lol, yeah at times we are just not dressed the way we would like to be or that would get us the most attention. To where people would think that we look classy. It takes a lot of effort to keep up with these things.

Hi Dominique. As I just stay at home almost everyday, I don't care much how do I look. I just comb my hair after waking up and wear clothes that makes me feel comfortable then start attending to my activities. Merry Christmas.

I understand what you mean. I have a similar schedule. I usually stay home most of the day and so I like to where comfortable clothing. I think though that when I start to run errands I'm going to take a little more time getting ready that way I feel better about myself and feel like I'm a feminine stay at home mom who works part time.

It is nice to look good, but when it takes up a big chunk of your day or takes over other things you should be doing, I find that vanity can be a bad thing. If you spend alot of time on your looks it could be to cover up things you don't want people to see like a mask so to speak.

Yes I understand what you mean. We need to be balanced. It's hard to find the right balance. That is why i prefer to just be clean, neat, and comfortable than to be all dolled up. When I'm comfortable I'm able to get other more important things done.

I am the type of person who will wake up to the day with a positive frame of mind. It's a new day with new opportunities. I don't necessarily find that hair, clothes and make up will help my mood if I am staying home. I like to relax while I am at home; however, if I am going out I will have on clean clothes and my hair will be brushed. I don't have a lot of accessories, because I don't like a lot of accessories. I wear little to no make up. I do like to have nice clothes, although most of the time you can see me in some workout gear

Yeah I like to feel comfortable when I'm at home. Though I think my husband would like to see me where more dressy clothes even though I stay at home all day. It's kind of a hard thing to do though because more clothes means spending more money, and more time to take care of them. I'm glad that your children have chores. When my child/ren get older I will have them do chores as well. I'm sure that it helps out a great deal. My daughter is still very young almost two years old. But I'm teaching her to throw away things and pick up her toys. She also helps me stir things that I'm making. Otherwise it's just me doing everything because my husband does nothing. He use to take out the trash but he doesn't do that anymore. I have a little curriculum going for my daughter to help the day go by faster. I try to schedule my time right so that while she's playing or looking at books I get things done or get work done online.

Oh, the last question..How do I manage getting everyone else together including myself. The best tip I can give you is to be organized. I get up early, spend my time on the p.c. and then I allow the kids on the pc they each get some time. While they are on the pc, I do what I need to do. When they are doing their lessons (I create them either in the morning or at night, as we homeschool) and then during the day while they are doing their lessons I work on other things, like prepping the food for the weekly menu or cleaning the house. The kids have to help. They have to clean their rooms, take out the garbage, set the table, help with the laundry and run errands for me. It takes the whole family to keep things running smooth.

Yes,I want to look nice everyday, but know I can't,because it all depends on whether you have anything worthwhile to do.For example,I have joined an article writing site.If I have written an article at night and am satisfied with it,then certainly I would feel relax the next day and that feeling of being relaxed will reflect itself on my looks and make it look nice.Everything depends on how you are feeling. If you are feeling relax, you will look nice.If you are tense and anxious, you will look disappointed and defeated and tired. It all depends on how you are feeling.

I agree with you. I'm always feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I often feel like I can never get enough done, fast enough, or earn extra money quick enough. It keeps me very stressed out. That is why I think I need to make more time for myself taking more time to add a little extra to my look. I think this will help me to feel better in many ways. When we look good we feel better about ourselves and that gives us confidence to do more things. I hope that your writing is going well. It can be difficult to write for companies and earn what we would like too. I hope you are enjoying the articles you are writing and the pay.

I try to look good every day. At least just look clean and not so shabby. I don't wear makeup. I just apply some moisturizer and then a bit of talcum powder. That's about it. I hate wearing makeup. I think this is the reason why my skin remains flawless without any wrinkles even though I'm nearly 50 years old. And I'm very proud of my skin.

I'm glad to hear that you are proud of your skin. That is such a good thing to be almost fifty and no wrinkles. More and more people are having wrinkles at a younger age. It's important that we do our best to take care of our health and our skin.

To tell you frankly I like to go tip top dress with good makeup and matching other accessories to office. You know not only me almost all the ladies whether they go to office or they go out for marketing or any function or to meet somebody they will always dress well, put on makeup etc and then only leave their house. I have seen my hubby also dress perfectly like gentleman before leaving for his office.

Since we are both into service where we have to meet different people from office and our client we have to dress well. And it is not that we dress well when we go to office but even when we go to market or to meet any of our friend or relative we make sure to dress well.

I'm glad to hear that you and your husband dress well. That is a good thing and something that you both can be proud of. It makes us feel good when we know that we look nice. I think it helps our day to be more productive as well. I'm always reading that those who work at home should dress as if they were going to work outside of the home. This way they are able to focus more also.

I would agree with you! "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". You need to have confidence! Let your inner beauty shine through and transform out onto your outer beauty. Those women whom you feel "keep up with their looks" and admire may just be showing the confidence that they have with themselves. The way you feel about yourself will shine through your appearance. If you feel happy, your look will also scream happy! Usually when I am having a good day I always get complements on my appearance and I am sometimes confused because my appearance is the same as any other day. So I would say smile, be confident, motivated, and bring out your natural glow in the mix!

I don't always look good every day, usually every other day I try to look nice for my husband... But every day? No way. It is exhausting with everything I do so there is no way I would look good every day of the week on top of cleaning the house and taking care of the kids and running my Childcare business-No Way! Lol.

Lol yeah I understand what you mean. It amazes me the women who actually are able to look great everyday I just don't see how they do it. Like you mentioned there are so many other things that need to be taken care of that it is hard to be like that every day. I'm working to improve it somewhat but I still haven't managed to do it every day. Maybe if we get a dishwasher that would give some more time each day-. I'll tell my husband that. Sometimes though I have my daughter help me with my makeup and then it's like a fun activity for the both of us to do.

I don't fix myself that much because I think that too much make up can make your skin older than you should be. I am 25 years old and I don't use powder, foundation or even concealers. I don't even knoew how to use it.. I just put lipstick and mascara and that's it. I think it will help you look more radiant if you will take some vitamin C and drink a lot of WATER and as much as possible sleep. DO NOT FORGET TO ALWAYS SMILE TOO.. =)

Yeah I agree with the things you say. I will have to work on taking vitamin C and I have been doing good with drinking more water. The sleep part I will need to do a lot better on. I rarely go to sleep at a decent hour and I get up really early.

Yeah it is amazing to see women who are like that. I will continue to work on that. It is taking me a lot of time to balance all of my responsibilities as well as try to look nice. But I will have to keep working at it to see where I can make improvements so that it doesn't take so long for me to get ready.

While I do wear makeup (eyeliner and lipstick/tint) on a daily basis, everything else I leave alone. I wear clothes I feel comfortable with. I think some people just can do it everyday. to me, getting to work in a presentable manner is more important than being pretty. BUT, if you have to do it for someone (like to impress a boss or a crush), I think I wouldn't mind waking up extra early everyday. :3 few tips my mom gave me: prepare clothes the night before

yeah those days when we are trying to impress someone we will make that time to look our best. It is funny how that works. I'm hoping to do better at this. I think if I start to view it as a hobby then I will be more inclined to try and keep up with it. Then there are those days when I just will not feel like doing it.

I do feel like I'm starting to like makeup more and more. I am a big eyeliner fan and so I have been collecting some. Because I liked it, I wore it everyday (so that becomes a hobby right?) and recently I came to like lipsticks too. You have to like something in order for you to see that it's not work. Have fun!

No. Some days I just don't care. The Tom- boy side takes often takes over. You can have it that way though with some careful planning. Maybe pick your outfits the day before. and get up a little earlier to be able to fix your hair and make up.

Yeah I understand what you mean. I often prefer to be in comfortable clothing.Since I spend most of the day at home I often feel there is no need to be all dressed up all the time. I just think I envy those who are able to look classy every day. That I feel in itself is a job. I think I will try to work on it though like you mentioned. I just have to make time for it.

Yeah it is good for us to have a balanced look. Having makeup that enhances our features. But we don't want to overdo it to where we don't look good or we look worse. This way we look professional and presentable. I hope that your day at mylot has gone well. Thanks for telling me what you think.

Looking good doesn't mean you have to put make up on your face or blow-dry hair everyday, wearing heels, good sexy clothes. It isn't like that I think. Looking good for me is just that you look clean, you brush your hair, you wear comfortable clothes, and you smell good. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.lol

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I often times look the way you describe but I think most people think that this is a casual way of living your life. I use to do better at the whole take 30 minutes before I leave the home. But I haven't done that in awhile. I think I'm going to set it as a hobby that way I don't feel like I'm wasting my time and I'm able to add a little more to my look.
