You know those Rome apples I hate? Well I found a great way to enjoy them. I cut one in half and cored each side. I put sweetener and cinnamon on each half and nuked it for 5 minutes. They came out beautiful and I wish you could smell my kitchen. I'm going to make some in the oven on Christmas Day just to have the wonderful aroma.
You can make the with sugar instead if sweetener, but sugar makes me sick.

Yeah, baked apples do taste really good and they have a pleasant aroma. You can find a lot of baked apple recipes on the Internet. They make a good desert too. Try experimenting them with bread. Yeah, it would be a good Christmas treat. But baking apples affects their nutrition quite a bit. You do lose a pretty amount of vitamins during the process. But who care when you dislike raw apples anyway. It's good to have what's left in it than worrying about something you could've never got.

Same here, I prefer crispy apples too. Moreover I like them before they are totally ripe. It gives a crunch with every bite, I love the sound of it. How about green apples? I think they are quite crunchy but are too sour to be enjoyed.

I hate soft apples. I live crisp apples though to eat raw. Sometimes we can only find Tomes in the store.

No I don't have a picture of them. I wish I had. Rome apples are big and bright red. They are soft inside, which is why I don't like them. But they are good baked.

That sounds like a great idea. I could just simmer one for hours. I think I will do that tomorrow. Thanks.

They are a deep red and grow to be quite large. They are rather soft and not real juicy, but they are wonderful baked.

Whenever I have apples I do not care to eat straight I cook them. I like to take apples, cooked ground sausage and cooked rice and mix together then stuff the cavity of an acorn squash and bake it. Yummy

That's good, but you're aware that you lose quite a bit of nutrition when you cook the apples, right? You should also include raw apples in your meals once in a while.

We were talking about types of apples that for whatever reason do not taste good raw. Also, some people cannot digest raw apples. For a yummy salad kingman try shredded carrots, chopped apples, raisins, a few chopped nuts and kohlrabi shredded. Dress lightly and enjoy as it is full of many nutrients. It is a good fall salad when we are missing many of our usual fresh foods.

Sure, I will try it. Honestly speaking, I don't usually bother mixing fruits. It's not that I don't like it, but I guess I'm too lazy for that stuff. All I can do is tell this recipe to my mom or my girlfriend. I usually just grab raw fruits and start biting them off right away.

I don't know if I have ever had a baked apple before. The ones you made sound really easy though. I am glad you were able to find a way to eat them that you enjoy rather than being stuck with apples that you do not like.
I am picky about my apples too. I don't like soft apples. Red Delicious are my LEAST favorite apple of all. I normally stick with Gala or Golden Delicious.

It is good that you found a way to enjoy the apples. Some apples are just a lot better used as baked apples or in baking than eaten raw, and this would be one such type.
I like either maple syrup or honey as a sweetener. I don't keep refined sugar on hand generally, and I can have a package of raw sugar for several months before we're anywhere near having it used up.

Rome are a very good cooking apple, apple sauce, apple piea, dried apple, and of course baked apples. to make the best baked apple, use the apple whole, at the stem end take small thin knife and take out core but leave the blossom end . use real butter and fill the core hole with butter and dark brown sugar. if you alergic to sugar use molasses, cook the required time in conventional or micro wave.

Mmmm I love baked apples with cinnamon! Normally, I don't even need any sweetener! Sometimes, I add a few cloves to them as well or make apple cinnamon oatmeal with them.

My mother used to make baked apples for dessert, but she'd use whole apples. After coring them, she'd put a bit of butter and some brown sugar in the well left by removing the core. She'd do them in individual pyrex dishes.
