Whatever be it, I like everything fresh and this includes topics on myLot. I somehow do not like the idea of responding to discussions that are even say 2 days old. I also do not like topics which have a Best Response tag. I am trying to change this attitude, may be a New Year Resolution? There could be wonderful topics out there lodged in the archives that deserve my attention?
Please,go ahead, and search. Don't be like me!

As far as posts go, I will respond to any and all even if they are old or if they have a best response posted to them. If I am going to tag a best response it is is usually a week or so after I have initiated the discussion. If I have something to say and I want to say it, then I will. It doesn't bother me how old the post is.
Now, as far as fresh goes. I like to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and I especially love fresh pineapple.

As per guidelines one is supposed to wait atleast a week before tagging a BR. But invariably many do not follow this rule and that discussion gets into the archives as most do not like to continue if they have seen the BR tag.
It is a good thing that you participate in such discussions.

New Year's Resolution huh? Sounds like a pretty good one. I am pretty open to responding to older topics if I run across them. The guidelines prevent us from starting topics that have already been addressed and that means there are a ton of great things waiting to be talked about. I think there should be some kind of time limit...some of those topics have been started by people that aren't even here anymore.1 person likes this

I am warned that resolutions are made to be broken. But not this time. I have made a resolution never to break a resolution!
Even responding to topics where the OP no longer exists creates a situation in that they appear under 'recent' sort of reviving them!
. I suppose others could comment on them.

Hi there,
Sometimes I don't get here for a couple of days so the topics that I check and answer are two days old.
I also love ot go into the no reponses section, so many good discussions do get missed and slip through the net its good ot og and answer some of them as well.
Its fine what you do as we all do mylot our own way, but hope you do change your attitude and answer some discussions that are not just posted today.

myLot is a treasure trove of activity. There are nooks and corners where one can land and participate to one's heart's content. I tend to only look at fresh stuff but am planning to snoop around from now on!

My friend what I feel in this regards is that everyone tries to share something fresh that have come across to them. Some have the good ways to present what they want to say while other could not. But on the contrary I feel we must appreciate those members who are making the effort to share something (from their angle new) here at Mylot.

Yeah I like searching old topics. There are great topics that are old. I think it can be hard sometimes to find regular new discussions sometimes. That's when I decide to go back and search to see what I can find.

In fact old topics have a lot of meat in them. One needs to go around looking for them. Rather than grumble about not finding fresh topics that are worthy of a discussion may as well search for stuff from the archives and have a ball!

I agree with you. I enjoy searching for old topics. Sometimes I find a good topic that is from a new person that was at that time that has responded to the other post. I really have a ball then and respond to the individuals comments.It keeps me busy and I'm able to reach my goals.

Yes, that is nice resolution. I have thought of this style weeks ago. My problem, I was dismayed when the authors don't post comment to my response. But then I noticed that my earnings are beginning to decrease. I wouldn't want that. so I just have changed my paradigm. Now, my only problem is how can I keep here in mylot when I have so busy schedules these days. LOL.

myLot as we know is a place to unwind. If you are busy elsewhere you should come here for the kind of relaxation it provides. Even if you do not receive comments on your responses but by responding you earn. If they have not commented it is their loss!

I have responded to discussions that are several years old. I also will respond to andy discussion that already had the best response, as even if their is a best response, that doesn't mean that the discussion is closed. Far from it. We can still respond to any discussion as long as we have something to say, and by doing so, that is what keeps it going. I have responded to discussions where the ones who started them, didn't even have the common courtesy to respond. If they can't respnd back, then they shoulodn't take the time to start a discussion in the first place. It is responses and comments that keep it going, as some can get hundreds of responses. I have never been lucky enough to get all that many responses to my discussions, but I am happy I got anything at all. I will continue to respond to discussin that are older, as long as I have something to say, as I get paid for what I di and not what others do. Take care, and have fun mylotting.

This is a discussion site and the fact that old topics continue to exist, it is but right that they are not kept away for good. They too deserve to be revived as there could be a treasure trove of activity in there.
When I was a newbie I was so concerned when I did not get responses to topics posted but this does not worry me now. All what is important is activity and for that there are countless avenues!

You are so right.Fresh things make us feel enlightened and things become really smooth and colorful.So i love to try new things to make me feel like creative and motivated.So life is good.I've already made my new year resolution and hope it will come true.I know new year would also give me new surprises.

That is what one should be doing as every topic whether new or old could have scope for discussion.
Nothing like fresh food, fresh fruit, fresh everything! Nothing to compare that fresh feeling after a warm bath!

For me if that discussion is have been 2 day and that topic still interested to me i will still response it. If it more than 1 month maybe i not interested to response. I not care if that discussion have mark someone best response because i still want people hear my opinion.

You should try to dig deeper for treasures
. There are a lot of good topics from time to time but I don't stop there. Ieven search topics that's been years since it was posted. I'm interested in every topics although I don't know much but I just read them and learned from it.

That is the right way here. Some complain that there are no interesting topics but if one digs through there is a treasure out there!

I too like the idea of being the first one to respond! But if you look at the objective of this site, it is nothing but discussing. And for this one only needs to open the home page and find countless opportunities to keep oneself busy with their fingers!!
