Get together with classmates

Every year on the last Sunday of December we, who passed High School Certificate Exam from C.S.Zilla School in 1962; observe a get together with family.
This year also we are going to observe it in a firm house of one of our friends; it is near a stream and very close to a forest. This place is 20 kilometers away from home, so a bus will pick up us from home and drop there.
Each year the venue is different.
We may be 300 members in total, family members, kids; grand kids included.
In the very beginning there will be a silence prayer for those class mates who have left for ever;
almost every year 2-3 die; we are all 67 plus now.
There will be eating, drinking, moving in the forest; some will enjoy bath in the clean water of the forest.
[b]What about you; do you observe some get together; is this not some kind of picnic?
It is picnic season; you find truckload of guys, girls, adults from school, colleges, and offices observing picnics?
When did you have your picnic last?
Make your days and holidays happy and cheerful always.

Well, I haven't seen any of my classmates since we graduated from high school. To be honest, I do miss some and I don't miss others. The reason why is I haven't seen any of them is because I moved far away from the town we grew up and went to high school. My high school reunion is coming up soon and I am afraid to go

I haven't been to class reunions with my high school class in the past. You see, I only graduated from high school almost fifteen years ago and the only reunion that my class has had was at our 10 year anniversary and I didn't go because of the fact that it was so very expensive to attend.
However, last summer one of my closest friends from high school had a pot luck party at her parents house when she was in town and we went to that. I had a great time catching up with some of my friends and meeting my friend's new baby.

hello professor,
i miss picnics. it has been a while. the last time was when we had an unplanned outing with my officemates but that was before summer.
i wish there could be something like that again.
300 is quite a big number and it is difficult to organize something like that. the biggest that i have organized was 60 people. and it was very stressful.

Enjoy your former classmate get together professor.
Like you said, every year 2-3 die, so every year you have to attend it to enjoy your classmates while they still can gather and be merry.
Enjoy every occasion that comes, so as you can say that you have lived your life to fullest.

I think all your friends are really great even now after so many years of completing school all are so much interested in meeting each other. Hat's off
we thought of having get together last year in school but many are not able to make it along with me, so only few attended . Many are outside the country too.

Every once a year I have a gathering with my old secondary school classmates at my secondary school teacher's house. The gathering always take place on either Christmas eve or on the day itself. We usually eat either lunch or dinner, or even both. As we are eating, we chat to each other like about our jobs, studies, and life. We can chat almost the whole day from afternoon until close to midnight. My secondary school teacher will do all the cooking and prepare the food and drinks for us. It is really a fulfilling meals and we had a joyous time.

hi,
the last time i have seen my high school classmates was one of our friend's birthday and it held in her house last March,that was the last meeting with them,and hoping this year will happen that again to meet each of us,and the picnic my last was last November 2012 with my family in our province.
