My spectacles

Whenever I hold my grandson Bishu or play with him, his first target is my spectacles, this he does with my wife’s spects too. Though I keep 3 spectacles all are broken now, the frames I mean, the glasses are not glass; they are of synthetic material. I use bifocal glasses of ‘executive’ type; here the two different powers used for near vision and distant vision fuse along a horizontal line; actually one glass is used and grinding is done. Many advised for contact lenses; I don’t like; need lot of maintenance. Do you wear glasses? Is it contact lens or glass? Let’s make life pleasant. Your say on this ? Please respond and share your views on this. Thanks in advance. ‘MERRY XMAS’ Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 25/12/2012

I've been a glasses wearer since I was twelve years old. When I first started to need prescription spectacles, I would only wear glasses and didn't want to mess with contact lenses. However, when I was in high school and college, I went through a period where I wore contacts almost all the time. However, since I've been a mother, I've decided that I want to wear glasses as opposed to wearing contact lenses simply because it is a lot more convenient.

Hehe, what a cute naugthy boy he is :D. I don't wear any of glasses although one of my eye seems to be farsighted but since my other eye is normal so I don't wear glasses (spectacles) because I'm quite fine without them. I think it's normal for a young child to be interested with some of items which in case your and your wife spectacles. I'd love to see the scene myself, must be adorable and funny :D

Hi Professor2010, without glasses I can't watch tv clearly. I need glasses when driving as well. I haven't tried wearing contact yet for I feel reluctant to put lens onto my eyes I'm comfortable with my glasses. Merry Xmas

hi professor, i always see babu trying to reach for the eyeglasses everytime he sits on your lap. funny but he seems to be amused being able to touch it. i myself cannot read without my eyeglasses. but my problem is only when reading. i still have a good eye on big moving things though. always i wanted to try on contact lenses but i guess it is not a priority so up to now, i have not experienced using one. have a nice day. ann

Mine are only reading glasses, professor. I have 3 . One is on my bag, the other one is for the office and the other one is for the house. I have to have a sure replacement in case the other one is broken. Careful, professor. The moment your granchildren are there, put them in a safer place where they can't reach it.

I were glasses and have experienced the same with my son. I do agree with you regarding Contact Lens. Probably you can try "unbreakable frames" of any brand which will ensure you always have your spectacles intact. To get more idea about "unbreakable frames" you can visit following URL I found on net:"http://www.indiamart.com/netrodaya/unbreakable-glass-frames.html"
