And a happy and jolly Christmas to you all. I do hope it is going better for you than it has been for me. So far I woke up feeling like death warmed over and couldn't really get out of bed except to get my tea and medicine for til about 9 a.m., the family had their TV on for about 3 1/2 hours, I made pancakes, washed dishes, and found out the cat had a huge patch of hair missing on her side where she can lick off the medicine I put on it. She hates the cloth I put on it to keep her from licking it and has taken it off already 2-3 times. I keep getting these "jokes" from family members about her having a "diaper", her "pants" coming off, or her new "coat". Argh. It is no joke, I'm trying to get her from not licking the patch of hair after I put on her hydrocortisone cream that works for her usually. But this was a bigger patch and hopefully not a reaction from the flea medicine I gave her last week. On the brighter side most all of the snow has melted from last night, I guess. I did want to have alittle left for today but just a few flakes is OK with me, it is 'something'.

I'm so sorry your son didn't show up as invited, maybe he is just late. Did her ever finally get there? I wish I could have everyone do as they say they will especially on Christmas, how sad. Buses sometimes can be the culprit if not on time. Merry Christmas to you and I hope he did get to have dinner with you, but if not I'm sure it's his loss.

Sorry to hear that your Christmas isn't all it could be. You have to do what you have to do for your animals. We don't have snow but there is enough up in the mountains that the ski resort is open early this year. That is good for their business. Hope that your kitty is healed and better soon.

Sounds like you are on the right track and as long as she doesn't get an infection it should heal up fine.

I am putting a cloth around her and using surgical tape too so she doesn't scratch and lick that area too much. If she is not better by a few days or so I will be calling the vet. I'm scared of what the tests and such will cost but she is my last cat.

I dont know what it is this year but Christmas is not the same anymore. The girls opened their presents and have been in their rooms ever since. I'm stuck with all the preparations for dinner (which is the norm since my uncle and brother-in-law aren't married). It doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I guess because we don't travel to relatives houses and we are stuck at home. My mom passed in 2004 and the holidays just don't seem the same. Next year I am planning to go away for the holidays, even if I have to go by myself.

I have been wanting to go away for the holidays for quite some time now, and not sure if it will ever happen but it is a nice thought. I'm so worried about my cat right now, she has this bald spot on her side and just after I used the flea remedy from my brother. I'm not sure if it caused it with the Frontline I also used. I should have waited before putting that on like I wanted to. I'm feeling better with the headache and such at least and most of the day turned out fine.

As long as you keep a vigil for around 10 minutes after you apply the medication and not let your cat mess with it, it gets absorbed into the system. You need to repeat this task may be twice or thrice. I only hope that medicine which you are applying is not poisonous since you say your cat licks it.

First of all, Merry Christmas! My husband and I spent our first Christmas together at our aunt and uncle's house.Since,it was my husband's first time to experience Christmas in the Philippines, my aunt prepared Filipino cuisine which he ate with much gusto to the delight of my aunt. The food was a treat to our tired body from standing inside the jam-packed bus for almost two hours while stuck in a heavy traffic on our way to their house. After a satisfy meal,my husband sang her heart out which entertained my cousins because of his funny antics while singing. Both of us had a great time, especially myself because my husband enjoyed the day but going back home was such a torture because we waited for the Van bound from my Manila to Cavite on queue from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m lols.

Merry Christmas Belle_of_the_Ball. I'm so glad you have had a wonderful time, most of my holidays are usually terrible and my birthday too, i have such bad luck on those days. Thanksgiving was OK this year but it's rare that happens. Just something about me always brings bad luck.
