Waiting For the Police...

Yeah so my Christmas was peaceful until the crazy guy down the street came and started banging on the door like he was going to break it down! He told my husband to let him borrow his gun for an hour, he would bring it back he needed to get some money with it! My husband said no, you need to leave now. The guy would not leave, he started throwing things at my husband, told him to suck his you know what and pulled his pants down in front of me and while my son was looking out the window!! You could see what we did NOT need to see! So, now on Christmas we are waiting on the police to come and pressing charges on this moron! Great, Merry Christmas to us! Hopefully they will arrest this guy because he causes trouble for the whole neighborhood, that would be a great Christmas present if they would lock him up!!

I've had a few bad neighbors over the years and they can really make one's life miserable. It would be nice if they moved away. I hope that all will eventually work out for the best.

That is good news! Now the whole neighborhood can feel safe. All the best on your day in court!

I understand! Even after he tried to stab your husband, the police will still do nothing?

After I kept calling they FINALLY locked him up! Now we have court on Feb 2nd and I hope everything goes well with that...

A rather eventful day for you and your family... Unfortunately, whatever charges can be brought against this guy will likely be minimal. Even if he is convicted, there is a good chance that he would likely end up with just some community service. Hopefully, I am wrong. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

It was really peaceful before just a little while ago! This guy ruins many days though in this neighborhood. I know nothing will happen to him most likely. He gets away with harassing people ALL the time in this neighborhood. I cannot stand it. If you or I did the same thing we would get arrested first thing! Not him though. He plays the idiot card and gets away with EVERYTHING! It is super annoying... I am just hoping the police do something about it this time...anything at all!

Maybe by pressing charges on him will stick this time. I wouldn't drop them either.

OMG That is enough to send shivers right up my spine, imagine this crazy person with a rifle in his hands, it really doesn't bear thinking about us. I am so sorry this nasty piece of work has spoilt your Christmas, I hope they come down heavy on him and put him behind bars where he deserves to be for a long stretch. Definitely NOT a nice gift on Christmas, or any other day, even worse when your son saw it, very upsetting for him I can imagine.

Finally after calling so many times I guess they got sick of me doing that, they locked him up. Now we have court for this on Feb 2nd.

That just doesn't sound fun, but at least your husband was home. Makes me glad that my biggest problem is not talking to my daughter the last six months. I'm sure that he could get charged with indecent exposure for what he did to you and your son. I hope the rest of your holiday is quiet!

I tell you-there's only been three times where I probably should have sued but didn't. The first time was in 1992-I was in a car accident and sustained back problems that still plague me to this day. The second was in 2006, when a neighbor caused an electric fire and considerable damage to my home. And the last time was in August this year, where I tripped on a poorly maintained sidewalk that apparently has resulted in permanent damage to my knee. But if something had involved my daughter, I'd be the first one there. Any luck getting the guy picked up yet?

No it was not fun at all. It was really crazy! He really needs to be locked up somewhere, a nut house or prison I don't care which one at this point... The police have still not even showed up but my husband called again and is trying to get someone out here so we can file a report with them. I hope he gets charged with indecent exposure but he plays the crazy card every time and gets away with everything!!

I know I'm not really a fan of lawsuits either but your right he could really hurt me or my kids next time so I would rather sue than have my kids hurt!

Oh my what a way for him to ruin your nice holiday. I think I remember you wanted to move but didnt have enough money to yet :( I really hope at some point you can move some where safer. I definitly think you need to press charges. What he did was nuts and its sad your child had to be exposed to that.

Yeah we have wanted to move for a while now but still don't have the money to do so... Any neighborhood we could afford will be this way or worse unless something changes drastically in our lives... Just the way it is here. Your either in a really nice neighborhood or a really bad one...Not much in between here.

Merry Christmas. Hopefully, something will be done this time around. You can file a protection order against this guy. Sounds like you all fear for everyone's safety at your home whenever this guy decides to bug you. That would be the thing to do is to get a protection order against him.

Good for you that you will file a protection order against him. You don't need to have to put up with him. Hopefully, the order will keep him away from you and your family wherever you are.

I hope we can do it even though he lives down the street from us, I'm not sure how that works...

Merry Christmas to you too! I hope something will be done this time. Its not the first time we have called on him and I am sure if they don't do anything it will not be the last either... We are going to file a protection order against him. We are afraid for all of our safety, we have 3 children here.

This is a pretty sad situation, as this guy actually has special needs caused by brain damage in a car accident. It could happen to any of us at any time. This, unfortunately, has made him potentially dangerous. What he needs is to be put into some sort of sheltered community where he's not out running the streets like this and scaring people but can still lead a life that has compassion and dignity coming his way.

The guy, obviously, needs supervision of some sort. You shouldn't put sick people in prison, but, if their illness poses a public danger, they need to be quarantined, just as they would be if they had typhoid fever or something like that. Both the criminal justice system and the mental health system need to be revamped.

I agree with you, he needs to be put somewhere where he can no longer hurt anyone else. But the thing is what the magistrate said is he is not crazy enough to be put in an insane asylum but he is not dangerous enough to be in prison either so they don't know what to do with him anymore... That is where the problem comes in...

I hope you do press charges on this guy. For exposing himself if nothing else. What a terrible thing to have happen! He must have been drinking. Is this his problem? How stupid! He's going to get some money. What an idiot!

You need to report that to the police to discipline that guy who cause trouble without any reason. There are plenty of people today which is not thinking on what they do, most especially when they get drunk.

We did report it to the police first thing. They finally arrested him so he is off the street and cannot bother us for a little while at least!

Oh yeah, so psycho like that should be locked up, otherwise, it would disturb the peace of the whole neighborhood. I hate people like that, and I won't tolerate some psycho roaming around the neighborhood and causing troubles to my neighbor. Someone should do something, and take away those people like that.

They did finally arrest him for this and now he is locked up for murder so we will not be dealing with him anymore!

Oh my gosh. Maybe he's so desperate because he doesn't have money for Christmas. Maybe he needs help like psychologists.

He definitely does need help! He did not even know it was Christmas, he is really mentally unstable. I am just glad the police finally locked him up!

Well, I'm really sorry that you have had a bad experience! Especially on Christmas day! Well, I hope however, that this episode has not traumatized too much, and, above everything back to normal. Today it is really true that you can not rest easy anywhere, even at home, because unfortunately there are around dangerous people. Please let me know how to solve this case. If necessary, write it as PM.

Thanks, this guy is a nut job. I wish he would just move or get arrested or something. I am hoping the police do something to get this guy off the streets! He scares the crap out of me, and my husband almost shot him seriously. This guy is constantly told by my husband to stay away from all of us and he just does not listen... Hopefully the police will do something!

OMG! I am so sorry that you had to go through that, and on Christmas. There are a lot of crazy people in this world right now, and no matter how much you try to shield yourself or your children from them, you are going to see them. Well, at least he did not hurt anyone, and you called the police before he could do any major harm to people. Sometimes, I like to think that everything happens for a reason. It stinks that this had to happen, but a least this man is in prison.
• Valdosta, Georgia
26 Dec 12
Yeah it was worse that it happened on Christmas itself. Well he was supposed to be in prison but has not made it there yet. He has hurt other people in this neighborhood, stabbed someone and got out of prison!!!

That's really terrible. He should need to be in prison as that guy would only be a cause of trouble to a lot of people. If he's really mentally disturbed then he should not be allowed to live on a normal environment. He would need some professional help.
• Valdosta, Georgia
26 Dec 12
They arrested him last night for it. We are just hoping no one will bail him out since he has a brother with a ton of money! He is very much disturbed and he should be in a home where someone can always watch him because he is a dangerous person.

Feel sorry to you and your family! Suggest report that( as well as his daily bad behaviours)to the police. If he is also giving troubles to others neighbours, consider telling them about this guy's troubles to you, in order to report the incidents to the police department together- this may increase the possibility of solving the problems. If reporting to the police doesn't work, if i were you, then i would consider moving away.

Thank you. The entire state that I live in knows this guy. He has a huge record and he has cursed out every dispatcher and even the FBI! Everyone knows him and dislikes him very much... The police know all about the way he is. So we went to the magistrates office and he took out 2 warrants for his arrest. We also have a court hearing in February for it.

Thank God. You were all safe. That moron should bail in jail in order for him to realize what he did which is wrong on his part. Always take care, my friend with your family. Advance Happy New Year to you and Bless you!
